Excellent

This is a nice Italian restaurant in San Lorenzo, Rome with a great ambience. Service was great and choices were many to make from. We went there twice during our stay!

It used to be a decent place, but now service and food quality have gotten worse. Furthermore if you go on an weekend you will have to wait for ages as they try to fill every possible table. If youare two forget they will give you a table for three. Happened sevral times and are extremely unpolite on this point.... More

Bad service, oily food (really oily), a kind of decaying place. House's wine is terrible. And is an expensive restaurant.

Several friends have talked to me frequently and positively of this restaurant and maybe I came there on the wrong day, but my dish of pasta was nothing special. Very good selection of cheese to taste as starter. Maybe I will give to this restaurant another chance!

Good food, tasty buffet, the starters are great, try the bruschette and The fritti. Prices are very fare, the service is good. Mostly locals. We like it!

My wife is from Rome, we eat here whenever we visit, the staff are all very friendly, the menu is available in English, but dont be fooled into thinking this is a tourist trap, its not, the food and wine are excellently priced, even though the quality is of the highest order,,,, The signature pizza is quite simply the best... Peter Sellers would have loved this place. We liked it so much we went a second time in the week we had in Rome. Excellent pasta and meat dishes, and a Tiramisu to die for. The staff speak English. Disabled accessible.

It is really nice and cozy restaurant which was close to our hotel. We had bruschette for a starter which were quite good but nothing special. For the main dish we had Spaghetti Carbonara, the fish platter, risotto with scampi cream as well as spaghetti con frutti di mare. I had the risotto and was pleased with taste, texture (really... I visited here whilst on Rome for business with colleagues and our taxi driver recommended this place for lunch. I was not disappointed and had a delicious clam and broccoli pasta which sounds awful but it really was lovely. Good value too. Only gripe is that there was no pizza at lunchtimes.

Staying in San Lorenzo

Neighborhood Profile
San Lorenzo
San Lorenzo may look all street with its pulse in urban art and street food, but don’t be fooled. This gritty student neighborhood immediately east of Termini train station is on the avant-garde rise. Art galleries, curated mural projects by artists like Rome’s favorite Alice, charming cafes, and boutique restaurants are slowly infiltrating the streets of San Lorenzo with counter-culture chic. Don’t worry, San Lorenzo still retains its local vibe with weekend festivals and demonstrations, and is always a hub for Rome’s university student scene.
