Wow! Fantastic food!

Wonderful restaurant! Friendly service with a warm welcoming atmosphere. Loved the modern stylish decor with sparkles on the wall. Even the loos were cool and trendy! The food was amazing - I had black shrimp ravioli followed by steak which was the most tender delicious steak I've ever eaten. Great... read more

On our first night we went for a meal as was close to our hotel, wasn't very nice especially the octopus was like a bike inner tube. Left most of the other courses as weren't much better

Matermatuta is the perfect place to wine & dine after a full day in the city, as a couple or with friends/family. The cozy restaurant consists of 2 connected rooms. The host, who speaks perfect English, welcomes you with a big smile. Menu offers both traditional (the linguine all'astice was just perfect) and more experimental Italian food. Nice selection of... I go to Rome every year for work reasons and I always pay a visit to Matermatuta: I have never been disappointed. Food is very good, service is pleasant and attentive, wine list is extensive. I have tried quite a few appetizers (scallops, squid) and they are all very tasty. The tuna was delicious and very fresh. Last time there... More

Recommended by our Hotel, we have decided to book my husband’s birthday dinner at Matermatuta, which did not disappoint. According to our teenage son, he had his best tiramisu at this place. The service was great and the dishes served had very interesting presentation. Total bill was less than I expected which is always a nice after the satisfying meal.

Nice restaurant, efficient staff. We had a very pleasant meal, although the weather was really hot and the conditioned air in the restaurant wasn't cool enough. All in all quite well though.

A small restaurant but very nicely presented. Cosy and popular but not crowded - tables are nicely spaced. Imaginative menu and everything we tried tasted wonderful. Very helpful, friendly, professional service

Our meal at this restaurant was excellent in every respect. It is a small restaurant (around 35 covers). The food is predominantly seafood based but has a good number of excellent other dishes. The service was very friendly and knowledgeable (we asked for a very dry white wine and the one suggested was delicious and only €24). The food was... More
