In October 2014 I went for a meal at Le Mani in Pasta with a group of about 15 people. We had pre booked the table but, upon arrival, we were told we had to pick 3 items from the menu and my guests could choose one meal to have. We went for the ravioli, cacio e pepe and carbonara.... More

Our first visit was in September 2012 and my ravings were about the broccoli - yes. The veal was superb, but I have never tasted broccoli prepared so divinely. this trip we went once to dinner and then again for lunch because we just had to eat there one more time before our departure.

This place is worth ringing or visiting the day before to make a reservation (and you will most likely need a reservation). Yes it's true that the service isn't great and is a bit rushed, but the food is spectacular! It is authentic and homemade and come in very generous portions. I highly recommend the carbonara, and the ravioli in... More

Turned up late in the middle of the week - and the place as buzzing. Excellent fish as recommended by the waiter. Had a table close to the kitchen so got to watch the kitchen in action as well the people enjoying the food. Ate here my last night in Rome so no chance to revisit - but would definitely... More

We were really excited to go here after a friend who had lived in Rome for a year said it was one of her favorite restaurants and the reviews were so good. We had SUCH a terrible meal. Despite our reservation, it took us awhile to be seated. Once we were seated, we got complimentary sparkling wine, so we thought... More

This was a pretty mediocre meal with rude, unfriendly service, when they made the occasional guest appearance in a hot and humid cellar. It also was terribly loud and there was a pretty unprepossessing clientele. I certainly wouldn't waste any precious time in this joint!

Le Mani is highly regarded by many, and even regarded by some as 'famous', as our hotelier put it. However our experience was underwhelming when considering it's great reputation. My wife and I had a sharing appetiser of meat and mozzarella which was pleasant. We then each had a pasta dish, both of which were very salty and were ok,... More

We went on a search for our favorite bakery and tiny deli that sells olive oil made by the owner's family (doncha love Rome?), all found on an Eating Italy tour we took on a previous trip. I looked up restaurants near by and after mistakenly sitting down at an empty restaurant across the street, my culinary nose picked up... More

We had booked this restaurant earlier on in the week. When we arrived, we were sent away as our table wasn't ready. 10 minutes later, we returned & were told to wait outside as the table still wasn't free. I wanted to leave, as the waiter was very abrupt, but it was quite late & we probably wouldn't have gotten... More
