The Gelato is very good but very expensive. We got very small portions for a 5.5 Euro cup (equivalent to other 1.5-2 Euro cups in other good galeterias we've been to). It was very good but the service was very cold and even mechanical like. You can find other much cheaper Gelatos without having to pay that much more

I went to San Crispino following the recommendations here, and wasn't disappointed. The last time I was in Italy and ate gelato was 7 years ago, and I thought then that Italian ice creams are the best. Since then a lot of good ice cream shops were created in my coubtry, and I wondered if Italian ice cream will still... more

For all the hype this place gets the gelato is not in my opinion the best I have had. The service is bordering on rude. Portions are small and expensive. It is nearest to the Trevi Fountain area. But I have had much better experiences at other places both in taste, value and friendly service more

tried the Valrona cioccolato and miele (honey)-"il gelato di San Crispino"- this time around - always made with fresh natural ingredients (in season) and always, always luscious and perfect (I've been a few times over the years). Nothing else touches it or even comes close in Rome--make the effort to go, you will not be disappointed! more

The gelato in San Crispino was the second gelato we had in Rome - the first was a huge disappointment. As it turns out, it shouldn't even be called gelato, compared to the heavenly, creamy gelato we had in San Crispino. We went at midnight - when it was still packed - and had two doses (we simply ate the... more

As I was on a trip in Rome, Italy, I made it a goal of mine to find the best gelato in the city. Seeing as there is a different gelateria place on almost every corner, I had many to choose from. The gelato at each place was good and I often would go back for another flavor or scoop... more

A lasting disappointment of visiting Rome is the abysmal quality of the food in Old Town. Exactly the same, cookie cutter, uninspired, same same. Competent, edible, reasonably priced, and forgotten 12 minutes later. San Crispino is exceedingly different. It is phenomenally expensive for ice cream, E8.50 for 3 scoops, but... it is ice cream that you would never forget. Pistachio... more

Last Sunday with some friends, we decided to stop by San Crispino for a refreshing ice-cream. I was so disappointed! The ice-cream itself is good but nothing amazing but the attitude of the people working behind the counter gives you the idea that you are not welcome there! I personally hate when you go to places, you spend money and... more
