Great Place to People Watch

Situated at the eastern (?) end of Campo dei Fiori, this is a great place to people watch. We had a lovely meal at this restaurant prior to leaving Rome after a 5 day stay. The food is simple but well cooked and well presented. They also have an enormous selection of salads (one of which we had had in their Vatican City branch). The service was friendly and their location was ideal for us. Having visited two... More

I went to L'Insalata Ricca several times during my trip to Rome. The food there is excellent, fresh, and it's easy to find both authentic Italian dishes as well a lighter fare-- they specialize in salads after all. I particularly liked their cacio e pepe, gnocchi with mussels, and the pellegrino salad (Brie, walnuts blueberries, apples, and turkey- an excellent... More

We went to the one close to Piazza Navona. My husband had eaten there for years, being born and bred in Rome. His parents used to make fresh pasta and they supplied this chain of now 12 restaurants, up from 8 by the time he moved away from Rome. It was my first time. We went with a few friends.... More

This place was suggested by my brother and it took me a while to find it as I started to look for it from the other end of the street. However I am not sorry I did not give up. I ate the Insalata Imperiale and it was divine. My husband had a risotto which was a bit on the... More

the restaurant is just outside of the Vatican walls. The food is very good and the price is fair enough if you consider the place. Would definitely go back.

I've been to l'insalata ricca several times during my trips to Rome. Each time I've been happy with the food and service. On my most recent visit, we sat outside. The service was good. The waiter was friendly and helpful. He gave tips on food for the children. The food itself as fresh. I had a salad which I was... More

We went here our first night in Rome. It's right on a main road but we had the set menu which was amazing value for 10 euros. Food was nice but waiter could have smiled a bit more
