Good to average....

Visited this restaurant on Monday night at 7.30pm/8.00pm The fact that it was deserted should have been a signal. Although they had four other tables by the time we left. Let me premise this by saying we are tourists to Rome and have only been to a handful of restaurants here so far...but, this... read more

This is a busy local restaurant serving standard fare. We ate twice here and enjoyed everything. The pasta dishes are good , plenty of it and tasty. Best thing is the price. 2 starters 2 bowls of pasta and a litre of house wine for 35 euros. Happy days.

This is an osteria on a side street where there are tables with white tablecloth outdoor on which we sat. We were prompted served by an elderly gent in a suite who appeared be the owner. I had one order of tomato bruschetta which must be one of the best I have tasted. The large bowl of green salad was... More

I had lunch here in late April on a Monday. I had eaten here some years ago and so was disappointed in the quality of the meal which was a classic pasta dish but not good at all.

Out the touristic circuits this place has the real roman atmosphere. Full of italian people, couples, families and groups of friends this is real life in Rome. The menu is super rich, the service friendly and fast. Very lively and cheerful place, a bit noisy sometimes, and always charming. Nicely decorated with big tables and chairs is really a comfortable... More

Took a good 15 minutes worth of Italian confusion for them to finally sit our group at the table we had been standing next to. The food was good, but the service was so-so at best. The price was decent comparable to the food. I wasn't terribly impressed.

Old-style Rome cooking. Close to bridges to St Peter's and for about 50% of London prices, even if you could find this quality in Italian food in the UK, which you can't

Saturday night in the centre of Rome – no reservation – just wandering the streets reading the menus and the reviews in the windows. On the door of La Streghe there was a medallion/sticker declaring it chosen as a 2011 ‘selection’ by Michelin. We were enticed in by the prospect of fried artichokes- but sadly they didn’t live up to... More

Nice menu, very lively and popular restaurant. Good Italian food with outstanding deserts. Located in busy middle-class neighborhood, close to subway station.
