Food was Good, Service was good

I went here for dinner one night after a long day of visiting sights around the city. The service was prompt, courteous and helpful. I let my server choose my courses. The first course was a potato and pasta soup. The second course was a fish dish - I don't remember what it was called.

Very nice restaurant in the Parioli area just a few steps from Piazza Ungaria/Viale Liegi. Courteous, helpful staff and a good choice on the menu, many of which are gluten free, or can be. Outdoor seating is also available, year round, and furnished with heaters for the winter season. Seems to be a popular place for the local inhabitants as... More

Whenever I'm in Rome (several times a year) I make a point of eating here. Very much a "local" restaurant - you won't see many tourists here - and food is excellent. I took my family there earlier this year and of all the restaurants we ate at during our stay this was by their favourite.

We went to this restaurant out of necessity because there were no other restaurants in the area, but were rewarded by the great food and friendly service.

I had a really nice meal with my boyfriend at Taverna Rossini. The porcini mushrooms on my pizza were so big I initially mistook them for scallops and nearly sent it back to the kitchen (oops), the staff were nice about it and we had a little giggle about it. The food arrived very fast, but we were also left... More

Our hotel recommended this restaurant, and we loved it. It was warm enough that we were able to sit outside, it was really a nice setting. The staff here are really friendly and eager to make your dinner special and it was. We ordered a pitcher of the house red wine and it was great, for appetizers we had white... More

The first part of the meal was very good with fast service and good food but then my girlfriend bizarrely found a sharp piece of plastic in her gnocci. The waiter didn't even apologise. After the incident, the staff even tried to ignore us, waiting 15 minutes for the check. It's a shame because I could see why the restaurant... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
