Great Food, Poor Service

Following the recommendation of our hotel (who pointed us to a restaurant within walking distance), we dined at Taverna Rossini our last night in Rome. The food was excellent -- my husband and I split the tagliolini cacio e pepe which was simply delicious, and then my husband ordered one of their... read more

We ate here our first night in Rome at a recommendation from our tour guide. We were starving, having just arrived from the states so were early for dining in Rome. Service was excellent, house red wine, a Montepulchiano, also very good. Each of us ordered different items and all were pleased with our selections. My grandson thought it was... More

Best restaurant in the area hands down! We ate here twice during a 3 night stay! Great staff and a huge menu. Options for everyone. Everything we had was delicious and we left stuffed every night. The house table wine (red) was very good and so cheap! The linguine with mushrooms, the pizzas, vegetable soup (surprisingly awesome!), sacher torte, sorbets,... More

We checked into the hotel Villa Duse and asked where we might find a nice local meal. At the top of their list was Taverna Rossini. The staff could not have been more friendly and we were not to feel intimidated by our limited Italian as they spoke English well. We chose a number of different local fares and were... More

Great choice in the surrounding area when looking for a typical Italian restaurant with a diverse menu and fair price and a cordial service.

Authentic food ( superb mozzarella de buffala, Parma ham, grilled meat without forgetting the pasta and pizza as well as home made tiramisu). For 3 pax, dinner will cost you around 70-80 euros with some good wine, very reasonable considering the location and the quality of the place/food

We arrived in Rome after a long journey and needed to find somewhere close to our hotel. We decided to go for a walk and see where it took us and that is when we came across this lovely little place. The service was great and the staff were very attentive and the general service of the place was great... More

This is a hidden gem known only to the locals and those tourists who happen to stay at the nearby Hilton. Try their red vino de casa and you will be hooked. Their pastas are perfection and their pizzas carry a bold flavor punch. Service is attentive and the seating outside is nice in the evenings. Prices are as bad... More

This was one of the closest restaurants to our hotel so we just went along one night. It was bust so we had to sit inside, which was fine. Service was good and the staff had good English and an English menu. There were a lot of options on the menu, and we were a little apprehensive about ordering Teriyaki... More

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
