Excellent food w/ reasonable prices

We ate here three times. Twice the risotto with asparagus and Taleggio cheese which was excellent and once pizza (without tomato sauce). Portions are truly big enough. The place is favoured by locals and during the lunch hour the service might be a bit slow. Taverna has a nice, covered terrace and... read more

Went here on recommendation of concierge in our hotel, initial impressions were very favourable, and on the first night, food was well presented, delivered in good time, reasonable value for a capital city, (I estimate a similar meal in London would be at least twice as much) and very tasty. So good, that we visited again the next night, after... More

When walking past I reasoned that a place as big and as busy as this must be doing something right. And they are! I was in Rome for two nights and ate here the first night. It was so good I came back for more on the second night. This is something I very rarely do. The menu is long... More

Very nice , busy italian restaurant. Service was fast and the food was tasty, although my meatballs were cold. We ordered the cheese and meat boards as starters and they were delicious, opened our eyes to cheese with honey. The atmosphere was nice. Id return, but hope my food would be hotter.

My wife and I arrived at the Hilton Garden Inn hotel in Rome on a rainy night in November 2014. We went to this place since it was right around the corner from our hotel. We were not particularly hungry but the sidewalk seating area was so inviting; they had their Christmas decorations out and the strings of lights were... More

Good service and food one night and then somewhat disinterested service and slightly worse food the second night. Well worth a visit though.

Well, first thing I don't like when I am served at the table and order a glass of wine is the waiter not bringing the bottle of wine. The answer was "we are too busy" and if you are too busy I wont come again. It was a rainy evening and I had to meet a friend in the area... More

For our last night in Roma, we dined at Taverna Rossini, a few block’s walk from our hotel. We had a delicious meal… we shared an appetizer of mussels and then I had a lovely lasagna-type pasta, stuffed with thinly sliced porcini mushrooms, pecorino cheese and a lovey béchamel sauce. My husband ordered pasta with broccoli and Carbonara sauce. Fresh... More

Lovely atmosphere and great food. Pizza and saltimbocca was really nice. Restaurant completely full. A lot of locals eat here.

Staying in Parioli

Neighborhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavor of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
