In the eternal town you can found thousands restaurants, pizzerie and so on, but in few you're able to eat dishes no by canteen. Is it expensive? Yes, of course, but it's a pleasure: Bresaola di chianina, anchoves with hair of fried ricotta, tonnarelli cacio and pepe, tonnarelli alla norma, half bottle falanghina, water, bread hand made: €.64.
We made a reservation, which was unnecessary, as the place was quite empty. The restaurant is located on a quiet side street, which is refreshing considering that the area around the Pantheon is so noisy and busy. The restaurant has a modern feel and the service was good. As we were in Italy during artichocke time, we tried their version,... More
This small restaurant is close to the Parliament and is frequented by politicians both at lunch time and in the evening; if you are into people-watching you will certainly recognize some faces. The decor and ambiance is not very exciting, nor is the food. That said, their "cacio e pepe" was excellent and their "tiramisu" both light and tasty. The... More
We dined here with an Italian friend. It was his suggestion, but he had warned us that Roman food was not Italy's best. (He is from Milan.) We liked it, had a positive experience, but it wasn't great. Dinner for 3 with the works (2 bottles of wine, dessert, etc.) came to 285 Euros. And Americans remember: don't tip in... More
Located in a very nice and quite small street. The food was okay, but the prices are a bit high based on the quality of the food. The items on the menu looked intriguing, but the actual food was average looking and tasting.
This was one of the more expensive restaurants we ate at while in Rome. The pasta was made fresh in house. I enjoyed the Trancio di parmigiana di melanzane (Small slice of eggplant parmigiana) and Tagliolini tirati a mano al pomodoro e basilico (Handmade tagliolini in basil and tomato sauce).
My husband and I discovered Bottega last year on a vacation. We loved it so much we went back a couple times on that trip, and on this latest trip to Rome, we went back again! Twice! The pasta is homemade, and it's really exceptional. The ingredients are all fresh, and I think they come from the owner's farm. Try... More
Tried this place on a recommendation and was delighted. The sort of place you walk into and instantly feel "I'm looking forward to this". It's small and welcoming, quite modern and suitable for business or pleasure. It was buzzing on a Monday night with a mix of local families, couples and business people. Service was very friendly (not always the... More
What a nice surprise, in a narrow and quiet street we found one of the best restaurants in Rome. Friendly staff, relaxed atmosphere, tastefully decorated interior, exellent winelist, and the best food ever. A place to remember and to visit again and again...
