Hearty food at affordable prices

Our B&B owner recommended this restaurant and we were pleased we went! The gnocchi dish was huge, and the bistecca and swordfish were both good. The house red is divine - and cost about €5/€6 a bottle! We enjoyed the service - patient, friendly, and although the restaurant was full of tourists, we... read more

Where do I start? This place is easily passed by..open your eyes and find it! Its well worth the effort. I may have eaten the best meal ever right here and Im sure its not the house red talking. From the front it looks like an empty restaurant which is never a good sign but we continued based on the... More

We decided to try Trip Advisor restaurants and this one touched our hearts the most. It has three rooms, one off the main street, another at the rear and off that, an external dining area. All were pleasant and the one we ate in at the rear seemed to be the one where locals ate. The patron was pleased that... More

Our first night in Pompeii and a true gem. I had already picked Add'u Mimi out for the four of us before we arrived from reviews on Trip Advisor so knew when we were led by Mimi through an empty restaurant that we should find a warm welcome and great food at the back. Roberto helped us through the menu... More

We were warmly greeted on arrival having walked over to Add'u Mimi just a short distance from Pompei Ruins. The service was friendly and extremely helpful and recommendations and translations were on hand from the enthusiastic owner. The mixed anti pasta starter was excellent and good value, and the pasta dishes was wonderfully fresh. Pricing was also extremely reasonable for... More

We struggled with the menu in Italian but our host listed some of the dishes in English. We had pasta which was an unusual shape and made with tomatoes, mozzarella, and aubergine - delicious, and the gnocchi which was also very good. For desert we had a light and delicate pear tart and a yummy chocolate tart. This was rounded... More

We went to this restaurant after visiting the pompeii excavations and we're looking forward to a long rest and some good food. What we got instead was rushed service with the waiters taking away plates before we'd had a chance to finish. There was a reason; it was the end of the lunchime period and they wanted to close te... We had read about this restaurant in TripAdvisor and went there straight after arriving in Pompeii. We were not disappointed! The fritto misto was authentic and perfectly cooked and the tagliette sugo was to die for! The prices were really reasonable and the staff were extremely friendly. We will be returning tonight!

Wife and I went here having looked at the recommendations on trip advisor. We weren't disappointed although did feel a little unsure as we walked in and were ushered out of the back door and into some rear restaurant - obviously closer to the kitchen and a little more intimate before the season really starts. The menu is fairly standard... More

This is my third time visiting Pompeii and this is, by far, the best restaurant I have found. Exceptionally friendly service, beautiful/comfortable surroundings, and, most importantly, fabulous food. EU5 for a bottle of wonderful local wine, delicious and inexpensive antipasti, and fantastic and reasonably priced pastas and main courses. Let your host suggest your meal and you will not go...
