Inexpensive but good and friendly

We stop at Todisco’s for lunch. This is a not-so-promising looking place in Pompei. You look at the dishes they have prepared and pick out what you want. You sit at picnic type tables with oil cloth tablecloths. The lady behind the counter is charming and insists that we try the beer that they have... read more

Stopped after a recommendation from our hotel. Open air restaurant, enclosed in Plastic for the winter and the wood stove heating attempts were a failure, Pizza was adequate, tho' eating with winter coats on takes away from the experience. Service was spotty, the wine we ordered was apparently not available, so a substitute was brought to the table, opened and... More

For restaurant Todisco, plan to visit Pompeii and the third time in the future. I have not met before an owner like Mr. Vincenzo, who works with his waiters, socializing with all his guests, as with his best friends. After dinner he showed us impeccably clean kitchen, the oven pizza, and his garden full of citrus and other Mediterranean plants.

It was our first time to Pompei and we wanted to eat somewhere not too busy. There was a religious convention of volunteers and everywhere was full. We asked a local gentleman that suggested to us we go to Todisco. We ended up going there twice for lunch and once for dinner. A pleasure, the food is freshly made, the... More

We've travelled in Italy for three weeks now,and this was the most fun we've had, and some of the best food. It's relaxed and uncomplicated, and the pizza is out of this world. Truly amazing value, but the best thing is the service - genuine, delightful and generous. We paid 31 euro for as much pizza as four really hungry... More

We have eaten some gorgeous food in Italy, and some average food. We read the more than glowing reviews on this place and we ready to sample the home made, authentic and beautiful local food. Im stunned and wondering if a bunch of friends of the owner got together and just did random positive reviews. It was horrible... thats the... More

We came to Todisco as our hostel recommended this a cheap option. It turned out to be the best meal we had during our 6 day tour around Italy. Our waiter Andrei was incredibly friendly and gave us loads of food to sample first, we had some very nice home-made parmigiana and pasta which was delicious. They are brewing their... More

The interior of this restaurant reminded me of wendy-houses and old army tents that my grandfather used to put up in the garden for us to play when we were kids. So, for me the interior of the restaurant had a charming ambience to it, which reminded me of days gone by! If you like your restaurant interiors to be... More

This is def the restaurant you should go to if you're planning to visit pompei, the food was really delicious and the owner was really friendly and funny. All the vegetables and fruits are grown in the same local area by their friends and family members. I really enjoyed my meal there and recommend you to eat there, you will... More
