Best Italian food I've had!!!

Me and my girlfriend wanted something nice and authentically Italian and we stumbled on this place. To be honest I wasn't wowed at first appearances, but it was nice. Being our last night in Pompeii, I really wanted something special. Our waiter was amazing helped us pick our food, telling us... read more

I have read the many reviews about this restaurant and agree with most of the good and some of the bad. From the outside the restaurant and is totally unremarkable and we probably never would have gone there if the hotel staff hadn't recommended it. Most of the food we ordered was delicious--typical southern Italian fare. We had some difficulty... More

We are staying in the charming little town of Pompei, a few minutes from the ruins of Pompeii, and we dined at Todisco tonight. It is tucked away on a little street a few blocks away from the Cathedral in Pompei, and the outside doesn't look like much. The inside has some inside tables and lots of outdoor dining, none... The staff was so friendly, they wanted us to try everything that was available before ordering. The food was fresh and delicious, and the price was unbeatable. Thank you Todisco for a wonderful local dining experience.

We stop at Todisco’s for lunch. This is a not-so-promising looking place in Pompei. You look at the dishes they have prepared and pick out what you want. You sit at picnic type tables with oil cloth tablecloths. The lady behind the counter is charming and insists that we try the beer that they have made. We are mostly excited... More

Stopped after a recommendation from our hotel. Open air restaurant, enclosed in Plastic for the winter and the wood stove heating attempts were a failure, Pizza was adequate, tho' eating with winter coats on takes away from the experience. Service was spotty, the wine we ordered was apparently not available, so a substitute was brought to the table, opened and... More

For restaurant Todisco, plan to visit Pompeii and the third time in the future. I have not met before an owner like Mr. Vincenzo, who works with his waiters, socializing with all his guests, as with his best friends. After dinner he showed us impeccably clean kitchen, the oven pizza, and his garden full of citrus and other Mediterranean plants.

It was our first time to Pompei and we wanted to eat somewhere not too busy. There was a religious convention of volunteers and everywhere was full. We asked a local gentleman that suggested to us we go to Todisco. We ended up going there twice for lunch and once for dinner. A pleasure, the food is freshly made, the... More

We've travelled in Italy for three weeks now,and this was the most fun we've had, and some of the best food. It's relaxed and uncomplicated, and the pizza is out of this world. Truly amazing value, but the best thing is the service - genuine, delightful and generous. We paid 31 euro for as much pizza as four really hungry... More

We have eaten some gorgeous food in Italy, and some average food. We read the more than glowing reviews on this place and we ready to sample the home made, authentic and beautiful local food. Im stunned and wondering if a bunch of friends of the owner got together and just did random positive reviews. It was horrible... thats the... More
