It is a scam but food not inedible

When you drive in and park (legitimate car parking €3 an hour) you get pressured a lot into going into the restaraunt. A girl with good English says there is a 2 hour queue at the gate to the Pompeii ruins and if you eat at the restaraunt you get parking for free. There is a minimum spend of €40... read more

I was going to write a review to warn other unsuspecting people of this total trap but now I see I really don't need to. Instead I wish I had checked online first. Our bill was 177Euro. It's a total scam. The food is way over priced and not very good. The location is down in ditch and you get... More

Parking is very convenient but the scam start there. They say parking is free if you eat at the restaurant. But you need to spend 40.00 plus they add services fee and entry fee. Food is ok.

Their big selling point is that they will waive parking fee to Pompeii ruins if you eat in their place. They fail to tell you beforehand though it is on menu that they will add a 15% service charge to bill. This is very unusual for Italy. We ordered simple pasta as we could already guess this place would be... More

They are located right across the street in front of the main entrance to the ruins. The parking costs seemed alright so we drove in. They will offer you tour books and let you know that if you dine in the restaurant adjacent to the parking lot, your parking is free. Very friendly initially until you return and dine at... More

We got hooked in by the parking sign. Free parking is offered if you spend €40 at lunch which you will be surprised to do by the time they add the 15% service charge and the per person €2 charge on top. We weren't told we would have to spend €40 either. Wouldn't have minded so much if the food... More

Restaurant cum parking lot - you'll be fleeced one way or the other, 3.5 euros per hr to park or free parking of you spend 40 euros im the Restaurant. Well what it does tell you is there's a 2 euro cover charge per person AND 15% service charge for less than mediocre food served by waiters with a hearing... More

The restaurant has a large parking lot where you can park for 3€ per hour. If you eat there, the parking is free. Of course, don't expect a generous offer. The food and beverages are a little bit expensive, the service a little long, the selection of the books limited. But what else can you expect in Pompei? On the... More

Be prepared to be stung at anyone of the PARKING sites around the historical site of Pompeii. Parking is not free, if you use any of the parking areas you have to pay around 3 euros per hour when you leave. Or you can eat before or after wards, but be prepared to to spend the min of €40 euros.... More

I wouldn't mind paying the price of the food for the free parking if they actually made good food. After living in Italy for almost two years I can honestly say this is the worst pizza I have ever eaten. None of the sea food was fresh. The food was almost inedible. Just about everything obviously came from a can.
