Tired after a long day of walking we were willing to settle for any pizzeria, but we were lured in by this particular one because of the long snaking cues outside. When we went upstairs, the atmosphere was anything but lavish, but that's beside the point. It took us about 5 minutes to even get the waiters attention and when... More

This pizza was so good, simple and tasty, the base was just perfect. We had just arrived from Rome who had not been able to provide us with the same scrumptious experience, and the price, well what can you say...so good and so cheap...

I know I know another great review for this place but you just cannot say no to Di Matteo. I just love this place. We had only 2 days in Naples during my birthday trip to Italy and first thing after landing we have decided to come here for a lunch. great as usual and the staff is very efficient... More

We visited this pizza joint after arriving from rome and we thought it was average. Good but not the best. The service was good and we would still suggest friends and others to visit and give it a try.

Awesome pizza and snacks and it's extremely cheap. Locals love it. But be aware of rush hours because the line is gonna be quite long. One of the places to eat you must visit if you go Naples.

Excellent local food, wine and company - a local cab took us to his fave family place, which is down a side street and through a takeaway but simply amazing! :) 20Euro for 2 pizzas and a bottle of local wine! awesome!

We stayed in Naples for almost a week and went to Di Matteo five times, as it's impossible not to come back there once you tried their pizza. We had different Margheritas, Marinara, Cappricciosa, Il Ripieno al forno and the world's best Il Ripieno di Matteo, also took their fried arancini to go once. My personal recommendation is Il Ripieno... More

This used to be one of the best pizzeria in the city (and therefore in the world). It used to be up there, in the top 5. Today it's still very good, in the top 30 in a city with more than 300 pizzerias. A bit too much oil and the dough is just not a prize winner. Having said... More

This place is a very small restaurant with several floors in the old town. They also offer take out, so to enter you need to walk by the take out counter and enter the side room to the left. We had the fried pizza, which is a local delicacy. A pizza crust is stuffed with cheese and a veggie, and... More
