Best euro I ever spent on take away. How can a bit of dough, tomto and olive oil taste so good??? Order fried food like rice balls to order and hang around in the square until they call your name. The most authentic Napoli experience you can have.

On our way from the National Archeaological Museum to the Duomo, we had hoped to have a good pizza (isn't this what a good tourist should do on a day trip to Naples? :) but since it was mid-afternoon we spent quite some time looking around (and walking in circles). In the end, we found this little restaurant (little from...

This is the best pizzeria in the world. Period. People wait out in the street for this slice of heaven, while other places have plenty of empty tables. I actually went back to Naples specially to eat this magnificent pie again. You will not be disappointed. The prices are very reasonable too. Every pie around 5 Euros.
I literally love this pizzeria, my favourite ever. I've been brought to this pizzeria by friends from Napoli, while visiting the city and recommend it 100%. It has a simplistic interior sala but the pizzas are superb!
Having read so many glowing reviews, we were very disappointed by both the quality of the pizzas and the extremely slow service. The pizzas were soggy and far too salty and compared badly with other pizzerias on the Via dei Tribunali. We had to wait 50 minutes to be served which seemed typical of other tables nearby. The only consolation...

I ate here today with a group of my students-I called ahead and asked if we could be accommodated; you actually can't (contrary to what one reviewer says) just walk upstairs to the dining room when they are busy-- it's way too confusing and they will stop you; we arrived at about 2:20 and had to divide up into three...

We didn't actually eat here so we can't comment on the food. We arrived at lunchtime and were told we'd need to wait 20 mn for a table. We left our name and hung around outside. 40 mn later, we went to check on progress, as a number of people had turned up and been seated while we and other...

Having arrived in Naples on a rainy morning after an early train ride from Rome my wife and I decided to go for an early lunch just after 11 am. After meandering around in the Centro Storico on and close to the ancient and famous Spaccanapoli we decided to try Di Matteo on Via dei Tribunali. Having spotted the classic...

Love the margharita pizza. I am still craving for it. The price was also very affordable (around 4 euro).
The waiters don't really seem to care that you're there, we found our own table and menu. Eventually hailed someone to order. But the pizza is so good and so cheap and the busy atmosphere adds to the whole experience. If in Naples again I will go back, but only for takeaway.
