Great pizza with a side of intimidation

A wonderful pizza that I devoured in minutes, tearing it apart with my bare hands like a wild beast. Talking of wild beasts, the staff aren't what you'd call friendly. Judging by the queues, they don't really have to be but a smile wouldn't have gone amiss. Still, on balance it was worth being... read more

Very, very good traditional pizza. But that's it. You have to drink your wine from a plastic cup in a noisy and crowded room!

Had high expectation but was a bit disappointed. Fried pizza no 2 was far too greasy. The other pizzas were good but undercooked.

After hearing much about this restaurant on trip advisor and other blogs, I decided to give it a try for their world famous pizza. Long story short, I ordered a vegetarian pizza, halfway through it, to my absolute horror I noticed pieces of salami stuffed into the crust. When I told the waiter and the manager, they shrugged their shoulders... More

One of the best napoletan pizzerias, which serve lot of kind of pizzas. When you walking around, you can also try some snacks to hand (cheap and awesome). Usually there is waiting line in the evening in front of the restaurant, so you can spend the time with wine and others (like in many great pizzerias in Naples) I lived... More

This is amazing place special for people who don't want to east money but still want to eat local awesome food. They are making one of the best pizza what I ever had and they are making it veeeery fast. If you want to see kitchen - no problem actually you have to go across it into the restaurant.

Initially quite hard to find, as we had just come off a Cruise yet wanted to find the "birthplace" of pizza. This place is definitely no frills and we went through the kitchen downstairs. Seeing the wood burning oven. Plastic cups and a very sparse feel obviously add to the decor. However we had two large & very tasty Pizzas,... More

di Matteo is one of several reputable pizza places on Via Tribunali. It has street side service and a sort of hidden interior dining room on the second floor that may or may not be apparent from street level. Just walk in and someone will direct you to the dining room. Pizza is very good and there are many options... More

It's very simple: the best pizza in the world! Friendly staff, great prices, Di Matteo is just my favourite pizzeria, and apparently not only mine!

Got there just before 3 pm and had no wait. The A/C inside upstairs was welcomed on a very HOT day. The pizza came as advertised and was wonderful. The frittati (sp?) was really good too. Saw photo of Bill Clinton in menu and knew it had to be good stuff.
