The English translation of the menu is not quite accurate. If you can work with the Italian, you will get a much better idea of how the item is prepared. However the seafood is fantastic. We shared a huge antipasto of "sauteed" mixed seafood which was actually steamed mussels, shrimp, and delectable tiny, tiny clams, not what we expected, but... More

Thanks to Trip Advisor's App I searched for restaurants near our hotel, the Decumani, in the heart of historic Naples. Up popped Ecomesarà and we headed there for lunch after working up an appetite during a morning with the Old Masters at the Museo di Capodimonte. It was late and there were only 2 other patrons present, so we had... More

This is an upscale yuppie sort of hip place with pretty good, inventive food. A tiny bit "precious" as seems to be the style currently in Naples, but quality ingredients and preparation make it recommended by me. Not cheap, but not out of line price wise. The pork loin was great.

Remarkably successful modern Italian cuisine comes from this kitchen. Traditional ingredients are reimagined with confidence and flair. We started with a spelt and squid salad (more delicate and nuanced than the concept would suggest) and delicate butterflied and barely crumbed sautéed fresh anchovies. We then split an extraordinary dish of four or five ethereal rounds of pasta sheets interspersed with... More

I had lunch here with friends and whilst I agree the area is a bit off the beaten track it is really worth it. The room is nice and the atmosphere friendly, but what really blows your mind away is the dishes they serve. They use local ingredients but they cook and serve them in a very modern way. We... More

We were recommended this restaurant by our hotel. We liked it so much we returned two nights later The food is modern Italian and was an interesting combination of fish and meats - a pleasant change from the usual pasta and pizza The wine list was interesting and unusual with a good selection of local wines The staff were very... Lived in Naples for 3.5 years before and went back again for a visit and found this place online. They serve up somewhat "new" and "inventive" dishes based on seasonal local produce. This is quite brave for a city (and, in general, a country) that really doesn't want to mess around with culinary traditions and which wants to stick with... More

Very good food and friendly+honest service, which is no guaranteed everywhere in Naples. This is highly recommended if you want to try something a bit less touristic (typical pizza or pasta). The portions are not too big, so I would recommend three course menu. The restaurant was a bit difficult to find and area slightly dodgy, but definitely worth of... More

During our last day in Naples we were directed to try this restaurant and were extremely happy we did. the food was beautifully & creatively prepared. since our background is from Manhattan and Philadelphia our standards were quite high and this restaurant met our expectations. service was excellent as well. Out of all the restaurants we enjoyed while in Naples... More
