Great experience

My husband and I have been there twice enjoying the amazing food and house wine. We tried parmigianno zucchini, pasta fagioli, gnocchi, and some other amazing food! We preferred to eat inside but the only downside was the AC wasn't working. Other than that, it was an exquisite experience.

In a side street just off the top end of Via Chiaia, The food and decor of the restaurant were excellent, but I think the service would be slow if we had gone at a busy time, say 2-3 pm. Excellent value for the quality.

We wanted to end our vacation in Campania with typical food and we could not have found a better place to do so. The owners - a very friendly couple- run a cute Osteria with a nice atmosphere. But that is only mentioned on the side. The food was wonderful. We had a breadsalat with octopus (I dont remember the... More

We eat here on the first day in Napoli. It is run by a elderly couple, driven modernly mostly by the mamma. We had a soup of beans, grilled vegetables and the best spaghetti putanesca. Want to go back again, hopefully it's open! Very reasonable too!

A rainy Sunday night in Napoli and my husband and I wandered into a sight for rain filled eyes, Osteria Don Maccarone. It was a family run ristorante with "Mama" as the waitress and "Papa" as the boss man. what a lovely couple! the atmosphere was homey and welcoming. the food was delicious, from the antipasti to the dolce. On... More

This is located on a side street off Chiai and at first looks a little unprepossessing but the food was delicious and the service looked casual but was really good. We went twice and between us tried their salt cod, pasta, swordfish and mixed starter - all good. would definitely make a bee line for this place if we were... More

Great food, amazing house starter to share and the fish dishes were excellent, I had fried fish and wife had some flat fish - we picked a nero amaro (black bitter) red wine, good price excellent value for the great taste, (not sure how the previous reviewer could say it was over priced, the menu is very competitive for Naples)... I'm amazed at the other reviews to the point that I'm wondering if we were in the same place! A group of 4 of us happened upon this restaurant which looks like a cosy family-run place. It may well be. But the food was over-priced and practically inedible and the service was awful. The only acceptable dish was the caprese... More

Tonight my husband and I had one of the most delightful, heavenly-tasting, meals we've eaten in a long time. There's NO WAY I'm ever going to be able to replicate the quality of that meal. We found this little restaurant completely by accident, wandering past. Looked like a family-run restaurant in a side street. If you are ever in Naples,... More

Stopped here with a group of friends for dinner on a recommendation. No doubting the type of food as you could smell the mozzarella 20 metres away! Very small with about 20-25 covers but a large comprehensive menu. Only thing missing was pizza but there are only about 1,000 pizza places within half a mile if you need one :)... More
