one of my fave hangouts

Traveling with two friends and this restaurant and Piazza were both recommended. My pals and I ended up meeting here three nights in a row. We only ever ate appetizers and/or pizza-both were great. Casavecchia wine was our fave of the 3 we tried and that became our go to. It's a great people... read more

Perhaps it was deserving of the 1 star previously but it is not fitting now. We have been dining and wining in Italy now for over 3 weeks on a holiday in which food and wine has been pursued with vigor and passion, and this was a very average experience as far as the food is concerned. The staff are... More

My wife and I visited for supper while visiting Naples. The service was good, the presentation of food was superb and the taste was average for a restaurant with a Michelin star. I had a mixed seafood starter that was the best dish (excellent presentation and flavour), my wife's main was boring (we swapped dishes as she didn't actually like... More

Excellent food, with emphasis on nouvelle cuisine presentation. Included somewhere in the price is a complimentary drink, starter morsel, and sorbet. Knowledgeable head/wine waiter; good service; in a rather austere 30/35 cover restaurant. Not cheap at around 160 euros for 2, but worth it.

Youdo notexpect to be cold, in april, in Naples. But it happens! If you are looking for very nice people and a nice meal, there you are. After visiting San Domenico, enter the small restaurant, and order any pizza, or a big, very big and very tasty salad. If hungry, get the " frittini" as starter. Some vine, and you... More

I can't believe it has a Michelin star. Whilst some of the courses were ok they weren't outstanding which you expect from a Michelin star restaurant. We were served room temperature white wine and in general the service was substandard.

We could've not expected more from such a restaurant awarded with 1 michelin star, everything was perfect, both the entrance staff, the food and waiter/ress so kind to explain every dish in such a detail way. Probably the best dinner had in far long time! The price is right for what you get and they even offered us a couple... More

A small (maybe 35 diners max) contemporary, first class restaurant in the piazza San Domenico Maggiore. Exquisite cuisine, service, presentation at a surprisingly reasonable price. Everything about the place is first class. Staff could not be friendlier. The kitchen is at e end and above the. Barrel vaulted room, overlooking the diners but in no way obtrusive on them. Highly... The dishes are interesting with innovative flavors , the presentation is imaginative and incredibly retains the flavor of the genuine "Napoli" ; moreover an complete wine list. All this in a beautiful and historic location, with friendly and professional staff.

For quality, service and value. A lovely conversion of this Palazzo to an airy and discreet eating space. Terrific menu with super dishes, particularly anti pasti and pasta. Great service and welcome with glass of bubbly, taster dish, special breads and sorbet thrown in. Sensible pricing, coffe at Eur 2 and a glass of good wine for Eur 6 cant... More
