I would give 10 stars if I can. The food was freaking amazing (for such low prices too!). We came around 3 and although they were closing for midday break, the waiter(son) seated us. Writing this review, I am so excited, I don't know where to start! So, during the ordering process, there was a bit of blur, so friend... More

Excellent quality-price balance. The "antipasto" was delightful made of exquisite typical Neapolitan food. Don't miss the "gnocchetti al gobbetto" and home made Babá!

When in Napoli one has to eat a pizza. We did not this time, because we wanted to have the fabulous antipasti at Il Gobbetto. The location is traditional decorated, so are the costumes of the staff. We were friendly welcomed at the front door by the owner. There was a nice atmosphere and of course we ordered the antipasti.... More

Il gobetto serves outstanding, delicious food which is typical for naples. Ask for the appetizer sampler and the son of the family which is the waiter will serve you all kinds of food, then go for a primi piatti, eg homemade pasta. Also, it is really cheap. We ate so much and drank wine and paid nearly nothing. Definitely recommendable.

The owners were very welcoming, we enjoyed all our food and the way it was served. It's a good value for money too, wasn't too expensive, paid smth around 20 euro per person for a full dinner with wine.

Just before heading out we looked for a restaurant close to the funicular. As Il Gobbetto has such a high rank we tried it and were not dissappointed. We ordered some very tasty plates (orrechiette, gnocchi, spaghetti vongole, mixed salad, calamares,...) and shared. Very tasty lunch at a fantastic value (less than 40 euro for 4). When we left there... More

We had a really good dinner at Osteria Il Gobbetto. Fresh and delicious starter of many little dishes, nice choice of meals and what surprised me the most, the house white wine was so good for the price we paid. The service was good, as it is in most family restaurants.

My boyfriend and I ate here after hearing from our hotel manageress that this was the place to go for authentic Neapolitan service and cuisine. We did not make a reservation and so had a short 15 minute wait whilst the owner kept us informed of the progress of our table. It was well worth the wait. Apart from perusing... More

Great food, great value, great service, great house wine, great family and great fun. The waiter immediately explained that it was his parents' restaurant and then he went on to introduce them. Dad and lad look after the service side of the restaurant whilst mum and wife work the kitchen. He asked us if we'd like him to choose our... More

Seems to be the philosophy of this place. The head waiter/owner appears to have-great passion for what he does and that's great but it's all a bit of a rush. The 8 dish antipasto is way too much to eat and most of it is pretty basic stuff- but do order your own serve of fried anchovies - they were... More
