We always try a restaurant that is mentioned in the larger travel journals and and not highly ranked on TA. La Cantinella is fine dining. I don't belive the prices our out of line . The food was presented and prepared extremely well. The wine list has a beautiful selection of many different wines at many price points. The location... More

We came here for lunch on a quiet February day. The restaurant itself has a cosy atmosphere with views of the sea. The service was excellent , professional and attentive and the food and presentation was equally good.

The place wants to be a high class restaurant, but the food is more than average. I could not eat my bacala because it was too salty. We had to change our wine because the first one was really cheap. The atmosphere is nice though, with this Napoli style live music, electronic piano :) and the bamboo all over the... More

We were referred to this restaurant by Hotel Excelsior after I had booked a restaurant off of trip advisor that was placed in Naples on the map on here instead of Sorrento where it is really located. On our way out before an all day excursion we asked them to make a reservation for us just based on their recommendation... More

We had a very average meal at this restaurant. To start the service which was made by experienced older men was very bad. They did not give us attention and really for a restaurant of this type did not have much class like taking care of the wine etc. The food was good even if not exceptional, and fresh. Overall... Best restaurant I have been in Naples. And I have been in some. Good local cuisine, but with a sophisticated touch. Amazing service. There is a starter made of local mozzarella and local tomatoes that you should try. Also, spaghetti from Gragnamo, which is very special.

We went for lunch and dinner and had the set menus - the lunchtime menu is a snip. Wine list is large, and has a large range in price. Food was excellent, well executed and different. Service was also excellent. Get a window table to look out over the bay. It was rather quiet, but that was probably on account... More

We've been to this restaurant for a light dinner. We only ordered main courses, the waiter brought us antipastis before the meals came and we thought it was offered small dishes as it is often the case in this kind of restaurant. At the end of the dinner, when the bill came : we were charged with 36 euros antipastis... More
