An enjoyable return visit

We dined here about 4 years ago and it hasn't changed at all - the same staff, the same bamboo decor. Apparently there's a new young chef and perhaps the food was a bit more ambitious than before. Certainly very fresh fish, not cheap, but well cooked. Lovely wine list, helpful manager, attractive... read more

It is only a stone's throw from the harbour wall, but years way from the other restaurants along here: this is a restaurant with a really old world Italian feel. The food, from a relatively short menu, is good, and the service is gently-paced rather than slow. We had lunch here and at around £50 for two with no wine,... More

We were there last night. Long story in short: * the decoration is AWFUL. The decorator felt like putting anything on the walls, that he found spare at home. Bamboo walls, mexican hat ?!?!?, weird lamps, etc. * the service is EXTREMELY, I repeat EXTREMELY slow. We had our dinner in almost 3 hours time. * The service is NOT... More

In the search for gluten free in Naples, our hotel recommended this restaurant. On every level, it was superb. Overlooking the bay, window table, exceptionally friendly and helpful, wonderful food including desert, great wine. Our huge thanks to Angelo and John for a great evening, including the restaurant car back to our hotel. All good wishes for much success in... More

This is a charming wood-pannelled place (with nautical-themed decoration) on the waterfront of Naples, in the Sta Lucia area. Linen napkins, proper tablecloths, prosecco before ordering- it's that sort of place. So, a bit more formal, but unstuffy. Interesting set menus, and there seemed to be several 'catch of the day'. It is possible to be carnivorous here, but the... More

All the five courses were delightful. Great tuscanian prosecco was perfect with all the fish portions (crude and cooked). The pasta was one of the best i have ever eaten.

The restaurant is tastefully decorated and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic. I ordered the seabass which was melt in the mouth delicious. Staff were patient and very helpful leaving the feeling of wanting to return. We visited for dinner at night, the restaurant overlooks the sea front unfortunately we were not able to take... More

Expert staff, both in the dining room and kitchen. Stupendous view. Old world charm, but not stuffy and boring. A very nice experience overall.

La Cantinella is a restaurant with a wonderful view of the sea across the road and beautiful bamboo decor inside that serves delicious local cuisine with personalised service. A perfect place for that leisurely meal - lunch or dinner.

I took my parents and closest friends living in Italy to this elegant restaurant with expectations of good food, ambiance and nice music. What we received was spectacular, the best service and overall dining experience I have received in Italy over the past 3 years. Excellent menu and wine selection. Gracious hosts. Enchanting live entertainment. Quintessential night out in Italy.... More
