Nice spot for lunch and dinner in Naples

I had a great pasta carbonara for lunch. The restaurant is right across the road from the Bay of Naples and this area is well appointed, clean and safe.

We were looking for a restaurant with a view of the water in Naples, and had found this one listed in a 5-year-old edition of Frommer’s guide. So we went for a stroll along the water to Via Partenope and looked at restaurant menus. I Re di Napoli was still there and looked promising, although it wasn’t as crowded as... More

There only six restaurants on the small boardwalk which is pedestrian only. This one is rated as the best. The food was so go and the service was so prompt. I would highly recommend it to people visiting.Naples

This restaurant has way too many staff and no service. All seem to chat and don't care, even asking for tips when claiming the service charge is for the house, not waiter. Pasta was average to say the least. Pizza was okay and wine also not too bad Don't waste your money or ruin your evening like we did

I chose this restaurant because they were the only one that had spaghetti Bolognese on the menu. I ordered a Caprese appetizer and the spaghetti with a bottle of wine. The server brought the wine promptly. When he brought my entrée he asked if it would be OK if he brought the Caprese later. Appetizer after the entrée? Halfway through... More

We came with our american-italian-finnish-russian family on Saturday night. Restaurant was very busy (like every restaurant at that time) and staff was very busy with our orders. We ordered most expensive appetizer. Resrooms were not working well. Bread was brought in tacky bags to table. Food took quite long time, they brought orders we did not order and they claimed... Horrible horrible went with family who ordered a pizza that had olives underneath the arugula on the pizza..they removed what they thought were all the olives but there were 2 olives on the pizza that upon the first bite broke my sister in laws tooth, olives shouldn't be put on pizzas with the seed in! Waiting staff very slow to take order. Food (pizza) worst I've had during this trip - dripping in oil and limited (poor quality) topping. As noted in another review - service charge added to the bill, but waiter asked for extra as he said they don't receive any of it. However - the view is nice!!

A summary of my dinner experience at I Re Di Napoli: - Very, very slow service. - Rude waiter. - Our meals were mixed up. - Very poor quality meat on the pizza and calzone (the ham tasted like soap and was 90% fat) - The dessert menu was out of date The most astonishing aspect was at paying. The... More
