Proof that pizza is over-rated

A queue at Da Michele - and one of my rules is that I don't queue outside a restaurant - so we went here instead. Also well-known, also claiming to be the best, also hurrying the tourists through as quickly as possible. Pizza undoubtedly authentic and of high quality, but as I ate it dawned on me... read more

I was in a hurry so I could not wait the long queue for Da Michele and since I knew this place was famous too, I went in and oh boy, have I very soon realized why this pizza place, just a few steps from the famous Da Michele was half empty. I have been to Da Michele several times... More

I haven't eaten Da Michele, so I cannot compare. But considering as general pizza quality, it was one of the best pizzeria I ate in my 3yrs stay in Milano area. Buonissimo.

This is not the greatest place on earth. The service is terrible. The waiters are rude. The atmosphere is crowded. But the pizza is truly amazing. Don't waste your time spending ours in Da Michele. Trianon is just as good and you don`t have to wait for 2 hours to get a table.

Nice pizza, great democratic atmosphere! But we happened to wait 20 min to enter and almost 1 hour to see our pizza on the table! Beware of the queues. But you should definitely try it by all means!

I went here with my boyfriend and had the greatest time. We went to Michele's the previous night and found that Trianon was better. I wish we had this pizzeria back in Canada! It offers a wider selection of pizza, better washrooms, more space, better lighting, sharper knives, and a livelier atmosphere than Michele. The restaurant is two floors and... More

We wanted some good authentic pizza and had gone to L'Antica the night before, but we didn't want to wait another 2 hours to get in. We decided to go to this place because we had stumbled across it around the corner, looked it up, and saw favourable reviews. There was no line and EVERYONE was a local - a... More

Don't expect perfectly round and thick crusted pizza's. These are the real ones. Odly shaped, thin crusted and a little bit soggie; just the way they should be like!

I loved the pizza here. It was so well cooked and the ingredients so fresh and full of flavours. I usually struggle to eat a whole Italian pizza and I also get really thirsty and a bit bloated after eating pizzas but with this one I had none of the above mentioned issues. I ate the whole thing and my... More

We took a tip from a deranged Neapolitan taxi driver who took a few seconds off from rolling a cigarette whilst steering with his knees, talking on his 'phone and hurling abuse at tiny Fiats overloaded with nuns to impart the germ of information that this establishment was "at least as good" as the famed "L'Antica Pizzeria da Michele" on...
