Best food

We travelled down for the evening and this was the best food we had. We had the specials - zucchini flower with lemon, pasta with puccini mushrooms. It's in a hidden secret garden, you go through a side street and it's a peaceful haven from the hustle and bustle of Sorrento. Well worth a visit.

The tables are located within a citrus orchard containing ancient Roman ruins - live musical entertainment is provided. the food is excellent and sourced locally by the owner and the atmosphere is very romantic. you must go here!

We had been travelling in Italy for a month and in Sorrento for the past week, and have never been too impressed with our meals so far. This was the BEST meal we have had, everything was amazing and the service was fantastic. We have already planned on coming back for dinner every night until we leave Sorrento :)

Came here on a rainy Sunday night in Sorrento, it was hard to find and half empty when we got there so my expectations were low. Also due to the rain, we were forced to eat inside instead of in the beautiful garden as we had hoped. The owner Mario is a quirky guy but he makes for an entertaining... More

You would never guess what a wonderful restaurant this was from its entrance. The space is tastefully decorated and has both indoor and outdoor seating. I found the quality of food was excellent, which was well complimented by the staff. I dined with a party of twenty-four and we felt like we had plenty of room and received plenty of... More

Visited on our last night in Sorrento. Beautiful setting. Went on Thursday night though it was very quiet they had a lady singing she was very good. The wine we had was made by the owners brother (i assume owner) it was very nice smooth drinkable red and inexpensive. I had the stuffed zucchini flowers which were amazing! my partner... More

We got here by accident when we were looking for another restaurant. The owner, Mario, greated us at the door and was an amazing host. We tried the homemade pasta, including the green ravoli, which was stuffed with crab. My husband had lamb, which was also very good. The atmosphere was lovely in a glass room surrounded by beautiful gardens.... More

We had an amazing time eating at i Giardini di Tasso. The food was absolutely delicious in a beautiful setting. Make sure to check out Mario's garden- it is beautiful! He went out of his way to make sure our family had an amazing meal. My husband was craving italian meatballs (which weren't on the menu), but Mario said that... More

Other reviews drove us here. Warning, the trip advisor map makes it look as if it is off the main road on the opposite side to where it really is. You need to take the tiny Via Santa Maria Della Pieta and about half way along there is an arch leading to this and another restaurant, with loads of parked... More

Last nt of our holiday, other than the amazing Il Buco we wanted to enjoy a proper italian, in a town of average restaurants. Not the easiest to find but equally just off the main road. Amazing zucchini flower & caprese staters + veal & fillet steak & fresh porcini mains. Don't but put off by the entrance it's a... More
