We were staying at Hotel Metropole next door and decided to have a change from hotel food. The restaurant was quite busy with both visitors and locals and the there was a friendly atmosphere. The food is plentiful, tasty and not fussy but beware of the pizzas, they are huge! We had a bottle of the local wine, Lachryma Christi,... More

My husband and I arrived in Sorrento after travelling a long way from Canada. Tired and unsure of where to eat the hotel recommended this place which was within a short walking distance. We had a wonderful, casual and inexpensive meal out on a terrace. Ordered pizza, pasta and local Sorrento wine...and was more than satisfied.

My family and I have been coming to Sorrento for 16 consecutive years and stayed in the Grand Hotel Vesuvio just up the road. Since it was so near, we gave it a go and absolutely loved it! We still go for almost every lunch we are there, and nothing has changed. Very friendly staff who always greet us when... More

This is a nice local restaurant on the main road heading up on the cliffs above Sorrento to the West - easy walk if you are staying in one of the hotels up on the cliffs. Place is full of locals as well as visitors and looks to do a roaring trade in take away pizzas as well. We ate... More

Nice "home" cafe, good food, but be aware of cover charge and overbooking during the public holidays despite the place is a bit far from the center

This is a very pleasant local restaurant. Lots of locals as well as visitors and that's a good sign. We have been here often and are always well looked after. Good local food at good value. The main dining area can be opened up to give a terrace feel, fresh and airy, but out of the weather or hot sun.... More

We first visited this wonderful restaurant in 1985! Have returned again and again since then and all we can say is, it's the best! Great fresh food, superb service and an 'entertaining' outlook!!!! If ever you visit Sorrento, you simply must make the effort to visit, you really won't regret it!!! Jane and Paul

We went to Verdemare on a rainy night in Sorrento on our honeymoon because it was close to our hotel and were blown away! We enjoyed a delicious bottle of Sorrento wine for only 10 euros and had a delicious meal of sea bass and clams over pasta. I'm not a seafood eater, but being in Sorrento I knew I... More

Nice food, would like to see more varied pasta dishes for those who do not eat fish or meat. Good price.
