First, thank you to the owners for being open on a holiday when almost all the other restaurants and around were closed! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent too. We thought we would just get a light bar snack, and were suprised by the choice and quality of the food. I had an excellent sausage... More

Our favourite bar/restaurant in Sorrento. The owners were always friendly, cheery and welcoming. Terrific value and tasty food and a good choice of drinks (e.g. Peroni Grand Riserve on draught). Although we aim to try as many different eateries as possible, we ended up coming here four or five times because it was just such a delight. A real little... More

We stopped in this casual restaurant and pub while on a walk through the city and ended up going there about five times during our one-week stay in Sorrento. The atmosphere was what drew us in as the owner and his son were outstanding at encouraging us to enjoy the time there. The food was unexpectedly good and the drinks... More

Visiting Sorrento in early October, 2013 and staying up the hill at the Hotel Belair, we found Taverna Sorrentina immediately on walking down to the main level of Sorrento. Not fancy, but delivers good, friendly service in a somewhat small establishment. Think the kitchen is small, so the menu is not extensive. Yet, everything we had was prepared well and... More

We loved this place so much, we returned several times during our stay in Sorrento, whether it was for coffee, a drink, a snack or a main meal. Very relaxed and informal, you could sit and enjoy the sea view, chat away, read, or just relax. Food was very tasty and freshly prepared. Best bruschetta I've had in a long... More

The reviews are true, gives trip advisor a bit of credibility. Food was great and cheap. Best meal we've had in sorrento, so glad we came here for our last night.

I ate, drank, and worked from the Sweet Dreams Tavern while it rained outside. The service was great, the food was great, prices are reasonable, and the second espresso I ordered was "on the house" which was a really nice way to end the 2-3hrs I spent there. The server was a local guy who spoke great english and was... More

We passed this Tavern night after night on our honeymoon as it was on the way back to our hotel. Glad we finally went in during the end of our two week stay as it was one of the best meals we had. I had the Neapolitan pizza and my husband had the Carbonara. Best Carbonara by far on the... More

When we were in Sorrento last year we loved this place, but coming back this year we were sorely disappointed. The cooking has gone seriously downhill with a new chef who just isn't in the same class as the lady who used to cook here. Not too bad and a decent place for a cold beer, but poor to average...
