A little disappointed

I decided to have a daily special, but asked if I could have fresh sardines and king prawns. I had 3 tiny sardines and 3 king prawns, some fries and a glass of white wine. The portion size was disappointing, so I ordered a dessert, it was not very nice and at least a couple of days old!. The most... read more

We had most of our evening meals at this lovely restaurant during our week long stay in Sorrento. From the moment we were lured in by the act on the door, we were hooked. All the meals (especially the fish dishes) were well cooked, tasty and well priced. The service was slick and cheerful. The local wines were excellent. I'd... More

We arrived in Sorrento late. Our hotel, next door was closed. The owner of this restaurant , Benedetto helped us get in touch with the person we needed to speak with at our hotel. We got our room! Even though Ristorante Sorrento was closed and they were having a staff meeting, Bendetto offered to cook us a pizza, which was... More

We ate in this restaurant twice during our stay. The food and wine were lovely. The staff were extremely friendly without being pushy. I would have no hesitation in recommending this restaurant.

We had lunch twice at this restaurant as we enjoyed it very much the first time. The sardines were very tasty although much smaller than the usual sardines.the duck was very good ,and what can I say about the pasta?...to die for! The waiters were nice and helpfull .

Come to Sorrento and see the beautiful old city and the cliffs overlooking the sea. But don't miss the Ristorante Sorrento just steps from the sea and in the old town. The owner is very friendly and speaks English perfectly. He recommends great local wines and is an expert on his culinary talents. The restaurant also has its own wine... More

While my husband throughly enjoyed his dinner of mussels, I had the pasta with lemon and basil sauce. The pasta was over cooked and I could barely taste the lemon in the sauce. We also ordered the house wine and received a Banfi Chanti. While we both enjoy Banfi wines, for a restaurant in the Campania region of Italy I... More

Since we came back we have seen a lot of mixed reviews for this place but we had a good meal here. So much so we went back again. The food was reasonably priced and the service very friendly and welcoming. Would visit again if in Sorrento

We stopped by in this restaurant for lunch. The heat was oppressive and the tables in the shade of the awnings looked inviting. We asked the waiter to recommend something light and palatable. He offered some fish – the catch of the day, which turned to be dry and tasteless. We had just arrived from Amsterdam where the seafood was... More

We were lured to eat here by the specials board, mussels, meatballs and pasta etc at reasonable prices. Service could be better, hindered by waiters chasing new customers up and down the road with leaflets and trying to entice wild kittens from under the tables. The food was adequate and well presented. Not disappointing but nothing to make you rush... More
