Off the main drag, a lucky find

We found this place by luck and what a find, seafood to die for, top service. My wife had the sea bass, we got to choose the fish we wanted and when cooked they took it off the bone without asking. Just lovely, if you can try it.

Looked this resturant up on trip advisor and it was exactly what we expected. We hadn't booked and there were 6 of us . They did well to accommodate us and were made to feel really welcome . The matriarch is a great character. The food was well cooked and delicious. We went with his recommendation and had seabreem. Some... More

We found courtesy of Trip Advisor and a little help in finding it from the helpful tourist shop on the square. Blink and you will miss it as it's up the small road from the square Via Santa Maria della Pieta ( S.M della Pieta) and then off there lol... Interesting Great little place, lovely people... Large portions for me... More

for entertainment and food all in one. The team are so passionate about how they entertain and feed you, it really is worth finding this restaurant, yes it is a little off the beaten track but still in the centre and you must book to avoid disappointments. We had 2 fantastic evenings here.

Great service and delicious food! Really felt welcome at the restaurant. Prosecco on the house was a lovely touch. :) The lemon risotto with shrimps was amazing and very filling! The whole meal with an appetizer, two dinners, a beer and a sparkling water came to 50 euros. Wine on the pricier side (18-22 euro a bottle) so my only... More

We found this place by pure chance. Been walking up and down every lane way all day. The place is great. The gentleman who looked after us was so friendly. Initially we went in just for a drink. We were told all the places to go and see that we had not heard of, whilst we had complementary bruschetta with... More

This was my third visit and my husbands first visit to Taverna Allegra and I was curious to see what he made of the experience. He loved it as much as I do, the welcome, the lovely people and of course Maestro Peppe. The food was delicious and even my shy husband joined in the fun singing along with the... More
