Delicious Meal on the waterfront

We walked down from our hotel and found this place. I really enjoyed my veal escalope with white wine sauce. My partner enjoyed the crumbed prawns. Super delicious salad with vine ripened tomatoes and a good local Italian white wine Falanghina. Yummy! You can go here expecting to enjoy your meal.

Strange place with stranger surrounds. Security guards outside fence. Food was nice. Waiters were a bit strange although the lady waiter was nice and seemed to be the best worker! After the sun went down the mosquito came out in force so we were constantly swatting and scratching! I would be in no rush to come back to this restaurant... More

Bad... Unfortunately. I was advised to come here by a local friend. Location is good, few steps from the beach and waves. But you do not eat that. I took local fish pezzogna, but it was not fresh at all. Long waiting time between the starter Nd main meal. Poor service, we have asked for salt that did not arrive... More

The food was excellent. A great combination of beautiful seafood and hearty carb-a-licious Italian classics. The service was outstanding - the waiters were lovely and charming. The guitar player was errr.... entertaining. Albeit the people being serenaded around us seemed to not want to be serenaded... Only criticism is in its use of Haute Cuisine type portion sizes - you... More

What a great place in a great location. Food was wonderful as well as the very frosty glasses. Very welcoming Hosts, and great staff. Ate there 3 nights while on our trip. The sausage and mozzarella pizza is something to write home about.

we were staying at La Solara and had a walk down to the beach where we discovered this restaurant. The owner was very welcoming and it was a beautiful day so we sat on the external patio area in the sun andordered some wine and pasta (although we could have had the table brought down to our sun beds as... Our close Italian friends took us to The Tavernetta after a raucous celebratory weekend (their daughter had just gotten married.) It is located off the beaten path, on the water. We went at night, so the ambience of the area was a little hard to judge. Maybe a bit of a working seashore spot - whatever it was, it was... More

the service...the food...the value...everything is soooo good. They pick you up at your hotel and drive you back when you are done. Go there every time we are in Sorrento.

Some of the best food we have in Sorrento was is this semi remote yet beautiful setting. Pizza was great, the caprese salad was to die for and my seafood pasta was delish. The only complaint - my swordfish was a bit dry but the same thing happened at another place the night before ... hmmm. Still, all was good,... More

We were a party of 3 and we arrived rather late and famished at our hotel. The receptionist recommended La Tavernetta and even offered to phone to be picked up. Wary of a ripoff but being too hungry we accepted. We were picked up and driven to the restaurant. To say we were pleased is an understatement! Not only was... More
