Description: My wife and I visited Sorrento in May and we had several meals at an excellent restaurant named Il Pozzo (The Well). We tried many of their pastas, risottos and pizzas and they were all wonderful. I had pasta with seafood more than once and it was excellent. I also had their risotto with mushrooms and it was delicious.Their house red wine is very good. It is fruity, easy to drink and very moderately priced. And for white wine, we chose Falanghina from the wine list. Falanghina is a local white wine that is fruity with a subtle crispness. Finally, I need to say a few words about the staff. They were always very helpful and made me feel completely comfortable. They were wonderful guys.Il Pozzo is located on via Tasso, down from the cathedral, at the intersection with via dell'Accademia.

Food was fine after it eventually arrived 2 hours after our arrival I did chased on numerous occasions and when it did come no apology. I had the veal and it had obviously been sitting waiting to be served as it had a skin on top.

We ha a light lunch here after a morning at the beach and lived the food. The service wasn't great however on holidays you shouldn't be in a hurry anyway so we weren't too fussed.

Having tried some of the more expensive restaurants in Sorrento, we stumbled across I'll Pozzo and had a very nice 2 course meal with a bottle of wine for just over €50.

Food was fine, but nothing special. We had caprese salad and one pizza - whitch is enough for 2 persons. Service was excellent, so nothing to complain about.

My hubby and I stopped here for a late lunch the other day and thought the food and value was great. We shared a caprese salad and a pizza and was more than enough for the both of us! Thoroughly enjoyed!

Prompt efficient service. Good food at a reasonable price. The waiters were friendly and polite. We were not rushed to leave the table when we had finished eating but were encouraged to relax and finish our wine.

A special birthday lunch so had a bottle of prosecco which was half the bill. The food was excellent and cooked to order not just heated up. A good people watching location.

it's a very decent restaurant in a town with loads to choose from but one of the buttery pasta sauces had us returning on our last evening here - excellent

We ate here on our last night in sorrento and were really surprised with how good the food was (we hadn't been too impressed with other sorrento establishments). This was international quality food, the seared tuna starter as good as anything I've had in London! It was very quiet, which may have been just that night, but I'd encourage anyone... More
