My wife and I visited Sorrento in May and we had several meals at an excellent restaurant named Il Pozzo (The Well). We tried many of their pastas, risottos and pizzas and they were all wonderful. I had pasta with seafood more than once and it was excellent. I also had their risotto with mushrooms and it was delicious.Their house red wine is very good. It is fruity, easy to drink and very moderately priced. And for white wine, we chose Falanghina from the wine list. Falanghina is a local white wine that is fruity with a subtle crispness. Finally, I need to say a few words about the staff. They were always very helpful and made me feel completely comfortable. They were wonderful guys.Il Pozzo is located on via Tasso, down from the cathedral, at the intersection with via dell'Accademia.

We wandered in one night without a reservation, which meant sitting inside, rather than outside, which was fine since it was so hot. We ordered pasta, mixed seafood and antipasti plate...the antipasti appetizer was HUGE and filled us up but the mains were so good too. Great food and large portions at very reasonable prices.

Small authentic restaurant with good prices and tasty food! Had gnocchi with swordfish, wife eggplant parmesan with veal...no complaints, all great tasting! Pros - prices & atmosphere Cons - small size packs fast & seating in rear of restaurant gets extremely hot!!! Try reserving a terrace table prior if this is spot for you!!!

Visited this restaurant on 15th August and won't be going back. It was very busy which gives the impression that it may be good. However the staff have no time for you and want you in and out as quickly as possible. I ordered seafood with spaghetti and it was far too over seasoned and unfortunately I'm still suffering today... We went specially to this restaurant thinking it would be a treat. They gave us a pleasant meal but not as good as we'd hoped. I had tomato soup which was nice but my partner's starter of tuna in almonds on a bed of lentils should have been special but was spoilt by over much balsamic vinegar on the lentils.... More

An extensive menu, air conditioned, very popular restaurant, polite & welcoming staff, very reasonable prices, good choice of wines, small outdoor seating area for eating as well as indoors. Well worth visiting

We ate here one day for lunch during our stay in Sorrento. The restaurant is nicely decorated and it's in a great location. The Seafood was really fresh! The fried Calamari and steamed Clams were really delicious. We were too full so we didn't order dessert but everything looked amazing. The restaurant was not busy but the service was a... More

Having walked passed this place the previous night, I had pointed out to the wife how authentic the pizzas looked. They did not disappoint.......thin bases (Rome style) and very yummy. The wife said it was " the best pizza yet in Sorrento" and believe me....we had tried a lot. I had the steak which was very tasty but my only... More

Had dinner here out first night in sorrento as it was near our hotel and had a good atmosphere. The food was excellent and the house wine solid and good value. We got starters, mains and wine for €39. If your looking for simple good Italian food it's worth trying here
