Especially good for kids

The hotel recommended this restaurant and they have a shuttle that will pick you up. It's a huge space and we were some of the only non Italians there. Pay attention to the specials if you want fresh pasta. We were very happy with our food. I had a daily special of clam and artichoke pasta. We... read more

We live in Italy two months a year (Sept & Oct) for 16 years. We have traveled extensively throughout Italy and sampled many fine restaurants. We have dined in this establishment for years and years as we live about 10 minute from it. We know the owners Enza and Maria very well, They have one of the top restaurants in... More

Our hotel recommended Da Filippo restaurant and made a reservation for the 4 of us; it was Christmas eve. The restaurant is a bit out of the center of Sorrento but a van was sent to pick us up. We arrived right when it opened at 7:00pm. The place was empty; Italians tend to eat later than Americans. We had... More

We were recommended 'Da Filippo' by our hotel and were largely influenced by the fact that the restaurant runs a courtesy bus there and back and having just spent an exhausting few hours around Vesuvius this was a real bonus! The place had a lovely atmosphere and was certainly a buzz about the place with a lot of 'local' diners.... More

Perhaps it was what we ordered (pizza and salad) but I thought the food was very average. It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I would expect from an authentic Italian restaurant. Put it this way, I've had better pizza at my local Italian restaurant in London...and while my neighbourhood Italian place is quite good, surely they should be able... More

I love mussels (eat them often in Europe), but I can honestly say that the mussels I had here are some of the best and the Seafood Pasta was also outstanding. The meat dishes looked excellent too, but we did not get chance to go back to try them. Like many Italian restaurants, the interior is a little brightly lit... More

You know you are in for a treat when you are the only none Italian speakers there. Food was to die for, price was good and the desire of the staff to mix and match to give you the meal you wanted made it perfect - WATCH THE MOSSIS

This restaurant is a real gem! Food is excellent and you must try their house wines. Great value for the price. It was very nice that the restaurant sends a local car service to pick you up.

As mentioned in the review above the outside of this restaurant does indeed smell of manure. walking up to the restaurant you are confronted by what looks like a farm yard. I was not shocked at all to see that nugget and drumstick outside appeared to be on the menu listed as 'rural chicken'. Local may have been a better... More

Although our waiter wasn't particularly friendly, the food was amazing. The fish as a starter was particularly nice. And their local wines are not on the menu and must be tried! Downside was we ate here when there was a whole bunch (group of 30!!) Americans from a cruiseship. Otherwise big recommendation!
