A Michelin star that is fully deserved

The Boss and I dined here three times. I am confident in saying that the star is fully deserved. One can start with the theatre of a cocktail, expertly mixed, at the table. The menu is shorter than might be expected, but none the worse for that. The Boss had a salted fish that was cooked in the... read more

We were touring Italy as part of our 25th wedding anniversary, and this was our 25th wedding anniversary dinner. And we loved it. It is very fine dining at its best. I had the tasting menu and my wife did the "trust the chef" menu, and we were both pleased. The waiter asked my wife a few questions and noted... More

Wonderful and typical, in the center of Sorrento. A little expensive but for refined palates and demanding. Portions a bit small, but very efficient service! Thank you!

I dined here during a honeymoon trip to Italy. The entire experience lasted about three hours and consisted of 5 to 8 courses depending on the menu you chose. My wife chose the tasting menu and I chose the trust the chef option. Both were fantastic! If you were in Sorrento and want to splurge on one meal this experience is... More

We had visited Il Buco on our last trip to Sorrento and were looking forward to eating there again. It was difficult to see how it could improve but it was even better this time. The food was all delicious and the service perfect. The best restaurant in Sorrento without a doubt.

We last ate at Il Buco several years ago and it was great to find that it was still a wonderful place to experience fine dining. We were a party of 7 and with very different tastes but Il Buco provided great food for us all. One of our group can only eat simple food and Il Buco made some... More

Overpriced for what you get. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, it just wasn't great. My wife and I had the chefs tasting menu with wine pairings. Most of the courses were good, some were fantastic, some were subpar. The wine pairings were spot on and an excellent taste of the local wines. We have been to many... More

We were recommended Il Buco as we appreciate fine dining and good food, however we were quite disappointed. The tables outside were basically in an alley with lots of greenery (and therefore moquitos), so we asked to move inside. The staff weere very accommodating with this. We asked for the chef's tasting menu but unfortunately the waiter didn't check our... More
