A Little Different

The only downside was the prices - don't get me wrong, the food was... read more

We were told we had to eat at Il Buco....it is so over rated. The chef takes your order but really doesn't listen to your likes and dislikes....he just makes what he thinks you should have. It takes hours....tiny portions....I went away hungry. The worst meal we had in Sorrento!

Just finished our dining experience here and it was wonderful! We both got the "I trust you" tasting menu which consisted of 5 courses. First course, a "black and white calamari" blew my mind. It was calamari with squid ink...brilliant!!! Everything following was wonderful as well. Service was excellent, great wine, overall excellent experience, would definitely recommend it to friends... If you're looking for a restaurant for a special occasion this is the place but don't go hungry. The food is excellent but the portions are very small. Food presentation is outstanding. Wine list is very nice. The wine that was recommended to us was really nice. There is no house wine available. Great atmosphere to bring someone for a... More

If you are a foodie, then this is the place for you! Food is definitely in tasting portions and is very creative. Ate outside on one of the step tables which was romantic. Service was not excellent - they came to the table several times and interrupted us trying to get us to order quickly. All in all I would... More

I officially have a new favourite restaurant... I'm ruined... margaritas... service... dining will never be the same...! Dining alone can be uncomfortable... especially in a Michelin starred restaurant... my last experience of this was at Le Bernardin in New York... As good as that was ... It's difficult... people stare and often the service can be forced and almost sterile...... More

We came to this place because of the one star Michelin rating. We became suspicious once we noticed that the majority of guests were foreigners with only one table of Italians. It turned out the way we were wary about. The foods were OK but the red wine we had with recommendation from the sommelier was outstanding. We had to... More

Probably the best meals I have ever had. Met the chef who served the taster menu with accompanying drinks - the service was impeccable from arrival to departure.
