Best meal in Italy

Loved every minute of our meal at Caruso's. Being the middle of winter we were the only diners in the restaurant - which I feel is a shame for the talent of the restaurant! The dishes are upper class, so a bit pricey, however all the extras we got more than made up for it (free champagne, bread... read more

Had dinner here last night, it was a quiet winter week night so luckily plenty of room as we hadn't booked. The staff are nice and although we aren't opera buffs, we very much enjoyed the quiet Caruso background music and all the wonderful photographs. The antipasto dishes were excellent, especially the divine seafood salad, it was much better than... More

A great restaurant dedicated to the wonderful Caruso. I discovered it by chance wandering down an alley just off the main square and was delighted by the excellent service, delicious food and interesting ambience. If you're a fan of Opera it' s a 'must' while visiting Sorrento. One of my most pleasant dining experiences in Italy. Superb!

A fabulous experience. The food, atmosphere and service were superb. Apparently named for Caruso the famous opera singer this was an exceptional experience and not overpriced for the experience. Highly recommend. Of course you must have the limoncello!

On a side walk way off main square in Sorrento is a unique restaurant ! Is more than an excellent place with great food, the interior is like going into a museum of the world great opera singer Caruso! Fascinating ! A romance place to dine. A strolling singing guitar play was marvelous. Absolutely must place to go on Amalfi... More

I wanted to visit this restaurant as I'm a Caruso fan, the walls are covered with Caruso pictures and memorabilia. Our table was situated in the main dining room of which I think there are two, the waiter presented us with the menu as well as a free glass of very nice Prosecco. The menu was very comprehensive my wife... More

Great atmosphere - including crooning guitarist, excellent food and service! We had a really fun evening at Carusos. The squid was excellent as was the pork belly. The service is lighthearted and efficient. Would highly recommend. Ideally located just off the main square. A superb taste of friendly Italy.

It's hard to describe how bad an evening in Caruso can be. I think the American couple on the next table actually broke up because of it. Certainly, the wife left her husband sitting there alone - so if you're thinking about spending a romantic evening at Caruso, that should give you an idea of what to expect. What's so... More

They are famous not only because of the enormous amount of Caruso memorabilia on display, but also because they are open from 12 pm till 12 am. We have had a wonderful lunch there with complimentary proseco before and limoncello after. Menu is very comprehensive and wine list is good. Service is outstanding (though need to admit that there were... More

We thought this place would be a little too "touristy" for our taste but we were pleasantly surprised with the food, service and atmosphere! We were smart enough to know that the tasting menus were going too be too much food for us. As we browsed through the menu trying to decide what to order our waiter saw that we... More
