Sophisticated food, excellent service

This is a restaurant for Italians. For me, used to pasta and pizza, it was not suitable, but that does NOT make it a tourist trap, on the contrary. It is priced according to the ingredients, and fish and sea food are expensive, but they charge exactly what they say they will, with bottled water... read more

Maybe it's just us, but restaurants of this type simply take good money for not good food. Italy has such great food resources and restaurants that are capable of taking them and producing an excellent meal. This place is not one of those places. I asked for a rare steak which arrived medium and that's being kind. When I asked... More

I can say that the food was simple and expensive. The risotto that I had was bland and tasteless. The seafood that accompanied the food was ok bit nothing to write home about. My opinion is stay away and look for a less commercial restaurant. Look for local produce that shows the people who eat in their enjoy it. Again... More

The fillet steak in the chateaubriand was tender and just pink - great. The fennel and other vegetables were roasted and very tasty. The béarnaise sauce was creamy but accompanied the meat well. The starters of baby octopus on rice and bean puree, and the lamb on a cheese/creamy risotto are wonderful. The wine list is extensive and a choice... More

We ate here as a special treat for my husband's birthday and we weren't disappointed. The wine list was extensive and the menu had a lovely selection of fish or meat dishes. We had 3 courses and a bottle of red for 150 euro ( for 2). Although a bit pricey it was very good value for what we got.... More

Disappointed with this restaurant. The food was good but limited. The wine was expensive compared with other similar restaurants. Felt abut crushed. The ambience did not live up to the cost.

dear Sir it is strange that : 1) you read the menù when ordering the food, 2) choose a wine from the wine list and after when paying what you have ordered 3) YOU FIND IT EXPENSIVE ???? how is this ? Anyway thak you for your "opinion" More

We read a review about this restaurant in Frommers book so we tried it. It was delicious, the wine great & staff very pleasant but it was very pricey. Wish I had checked it before we went because we were not looking to spend that much for a meal. It was worth it but I don't know if we would... More

Fantastic restaurant in Piazza Tasso. As you sit down you get greeted with a lovely glass of Prosecco and then they also give you a complimentary amuse bouche which in our case was a typical Neapolitan caponata, delicious. We had a three course meal, as a special that night they had some buckwheat paccheri with lobster....I still dream of that dish... We came here as part of a shore excursion on Royal Caribbean and had a nice meal with our three teenage daughters. It is in the middle of Sorrento and across from a lovely store that sells inlaid wood. It is a white tablecloth kind of place, with good service. We had wine, cheese and spinach cannelloni with red sauce,... More

One of the best in Sorrento! If you go to Sorrento, you must try. What a menu! The food and atmosphere is terrific. Eat outside and just take everything in. What a neat place to share a meal with your significant other. Food preparation is not only great, it is great to eat. What a menu and variety. Everything. Restaurant... More
