Very traditional - no English speaking staff... he just pointed at heaps of pre-cooked vegies and food to pick... for my gluten free diet. Old fashioned food - lots of meat and vegies - oily, no low salt low fat modern food compared to the usual tourist restaurants.. very quaint old decor, we enjoyed the wine he picked for us... More

We had excellent and delicious dishes here: my wife ate stuffed peppers, I had a calzone pizza filled with 'bietole' (a type of beet), capers and anchovy. Just great and all of that very affordable! The atmosphere in the restaurant is truly unique, it felt traditionally Southern Italian: there is beautiful old wooden cupboard in the restaurant where some of... More

We had the pasta e fagioli and a pizza. Both were excellent! It's a very busy and very home style place - red check table clothes, wine in tumblers and you're served by white haired italian gentlemen. It's not a fancy 'take your partner out for a romantic dinner' place at all. Given how busy it gets, the old guys... More

Best eggplant parmesan I have ever had anywhere. Waiter spoke no English but was extremely accommodating in explaining menu as best he could. House wine was excellent and cheap!

The restaurant is very popular with the locals so will fill up quickly from 9pm every night and is totally full on Friday and Saturday nights. The restaurant has a great italian family feel about it and watching the locals treat the staff with great respect is fantastic to see. The food offered is traditional food at very reasonable prices.... More

After three weeks in Italy, I can say that this restaurant had the best pizza I tried anywhere (although I didn't make it to Naples). The restaurant has been around for a long time and their main dish is the pasta e fagioli. They also are one of the only places I found to open before 8pm, which was nice.

A place to go, even if you only have few minutes to spent for a fast lunch or dinner. The best pizza I ever tasted bifore named cinquetto, with a lot of mozzarella chess and eggs. Gorgeus!

We went there because suggested by our hostel owner. We took two pizzas and a dessert. For Salerno it is pretty expensive, indeed we spend for a pizza 7€ while in the area you can find cheaper places. at the same time overall, food, is good.

This restaurant was pretty much at the door of our motel, so when our host recommended it, we gave it a try. The pizza was really great, and the mains were simple but tasty. The seemed abrupt at first, but warmed up as the evening progressed. The wine was a highlight. Would recommend to any on a budget.

Simple but very good restaurant, pizza and pasta much better than I had expeted. Friendly service, we would highly recommended this restaurant, for genuine food lovers. Not a fine dine, but a great place to have a great meal.
