small "corner", big taste!

Very small and warm place, only few tables so it is better to call for reservation. Warm and simple atmosphere Great selection of starters - at least 4- fish or meat. they propose unusual mix of ingredients, I had a fish menu with 4 selection of fresh fish starters, a main dish with fresh fish... read more

Our B and B, Suite 39, recommend we try Angolo Masuccio and we were so glad that we did. It's tiny, tucked in one of the winding streets in the old part of Salerno. We might have totally missed it if it had not been recommended. The staff were so friendly and helpful, describing the dishes perfectly and understanding that,... More

Thanks to Morena whom we met on our way from Vietri sul Mare towards Salerno. It was our last day here, in Salerno today, and we asked this smiling girl whether she could recommend any nice restaurants where "si mangia bene". We were so lucky to have found those people. "Angolo Masuccio" is hidden in a small corner just behind... More

Been there tonight in the evening. 2 persons, please show us the menu- the waiter reads the menu to us from the written board and explained us what's what. Decision taken we stay.Serving is polite and cool, patient and not at all penetrative. The kitchen is half open and upstairs, so you hear your food preparation. And good was it.... More

1st night in Salerno after our time in Florence, needed pesce instead of carne! At Angolo Masuccio, the owner whipped up a wonderful meal in a super-tight area, only about six tables. A vegetable app platter of eggplant, broccoli 'quiche' and a couple other items, paired with a fish app of fresh anchovy with red onion, calamari and potatoes, a... More

this restaurant was recommended by our B and B hosts for good reason. Small and intimate in size, but large in its welcome. The food was beautifully prepared and presented, and the flavours of the local specialities were stunning. The staff were keen to please, and when ( at the end of the meal) we asked if there was a... Conveniently tucked in a narrow, pedestrian only street just inside the Eastern limit of Salerno's Centro Storico, this unpretentious little (family owned?) restaurant provided us for two nights on a row with what we needed after playing the perfect tourists from morning to evening: happy relaxation with the excellent "slow food" another reviewer mentioned, as well as the good Italian... Super! We were happy to be here. Hi-end home made quality! Slow food. Just ask to recommend you dishes and wait. But don't forget book table before.
