We arrived in Salerno and were a bit disappointed as our hotel was not near any restaurants. We used Tripadvisor and decided to take a cab to Cicirinella Ristorante. Our hotel told us this was a good restaurant. Glad we took a cab as we never would have found it. Ambiance was great and food was even better. Could easily... More

The antipasto was amazing and plated to impress, the wine selection is vast and the house red was an IGT for €5/bottle. Flavorful puttanesca showcased the olives while not being salty... wine complimented the olive flavor well. The chef did not start preparing our primi until the antipasto plates were cleared (you can see the kitchen @work), ensuring a leisurely... More

Salerno has lot of restaurants to choose from. Even the suggested restaurants -list by our B&B host has more than enough restaurants to choose from while staying more than 1 week. I hardly ever visit same restaurant twice during my vacations because I want to experience all the different restaurants and see what they have to offer. With Cicirinella I... More

Recommended by B&B we were delighted by food wine and ambiance. Nothing too much trouble - menu adjusted to take account of gluten free requirements. Succulent appetiser and delicious risotto specially cooked were highlights.

I came here for dinner based on the reviews. We were not disappointed. The food, service and ambiance were all very pleasing. So was the price. Glad we went and would go back.

Luca - B&B Alto Mare, recommended this place for us. It was the best meal we had in Europe. The Chef is very creative. The appetizer was beautiful. Try the steak! It is located directly behind the Duomo. That is the easiest way to find it.

Best restaurant in the Amalfi coast. They always offer you free wine, bread with olive oil and serves you extra water. All the food is fresh and tastes very very good. The tuna and the meat were exquisite but the pasta is also great. Best service i ever gotten and it is even not expensive Cosy environment Ottimo

After trawling Trip Advisor, we came across this restaurant. Admittedly, due to poor map skills and a lack of road signs, it took us a while to find this 'hidden gem' but it was sooooo worth it! We arrived at about 8:30 and were greeted by a very friendly waitress who appreciated our poor attempt to ask for a table... More

This place far exceeded my expectations, it was small friendly but turned out the most elegant and tasty dishes. I started with the Antipasti sampler and was in awe of the beautiful presentation and sheer number of flavors presented from sweet ricotta to a yummy eggplant and tomato dish. I ordered the classic penne pasta dish with tomatoes, mozzarella cheese... More

Football World cup was on when we were in Italy and we were unable to eat when Italy was knocked out as all bars and restaurants were full! However our 2nd night in Salerno we found Cicrinella next to the Duomo. It is a smallish restaurant with exposed brick walls and an open kitchen. The chefs prepare what is fresh... More
