Football World cup was on when we were in Italy and we were unable to eat when Italy was knocked out as all bars and restaurants were full! However our 2nd night in Salerno we found Cicrinella next to the Duomo. It is a smallish restaurant with exposed brick walls and an open kitchen. The chefs prepare what is fresh... More

This was probably the best meal I have ever had. The atmosphere was awesome, the service was great, and the food was amazing. Dont miss this restaurant!

We recently returned from a 3 week trip to Italy that included 4 nights in Salerno. Luca Santulli, the owner of Salerno in Alto Mare, the bed and breakfast where we stayed, suggested Cicirinella in addition to three other restaurants for us to visit. Since I had earmarked Cicirinella before our trip as a potential dining spot, we decided to... More

Great twist on Italian cuisine with a modern touch but while keeping an emphasis on great traditional tastes, flavours, and ingredients. The menu changes everyday with what the market will offer but i'm sure it'll always be fantastic!

I can really recommend this restaurant. The service is exceptional and so is the food. Their pastas are some of the best we've had and the fish is great too. You will need to book if you want to dine here at the weekend as, not surprisingly, it is very popular.

Based on Trip Advisor reviews, enjoyed our first dinner in Salerno at Cicirinella. The restaurant is north of the old city near the Duomo area. Google maps helped. The restaurant indicated that the menu changes daily. On our visit we each had an appetizer consisting of four different items (potato/tuna, beef croquette, pesto cheese & zucchini & one other tasty... More

Nice small restaurant in the old part of Salerno. The courses were all freshly prepared and delicious. The "acceuil" is extremely pleasant. The chef has quite a creative flair. Had a lovely Fiano wine from the region. Certainly, one of the nicest restaurants in Salerno. We are fairly particular, and were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, and... More

We stayed in Salerno for a week and visited several restaurants there for dinner. Ristorante Cicirinella was one of the places we ate in and we were very glad we went there. If not for one issue (more on this below) we would have given 5/5 for the overall rating. The menu was obviously prepared by a chef who knows... More

You must overcome the fact that there is no menu. You must accept the fact that they will want to talk with you (that's it, warm hospitality). Then, from the antipasti you will enjoy a fantastic culinary experience. Even if the level of desserts is not "5 stars" I could never give less to such a wonderful place.

Nice location - Small menu (daily changed) - Open kitchen - Great antipasti - Lovely housewine(s) - Friendly and helpful staff. Very recommended (by a Belgian couple.)
