Gelato, in a bun?

Our B&B host recommended we try this local speciality and we were a bit sceptical. The 'small' brioche is the size of a hamburger bun, and once you add two flavours of gelato and cream it is great value for 2.50 Euro. Easily the cheapest gelato that we have had on our Italian holiday. The biggest... read more

My wife and I were in Salerno and we were told about Nettuno by our B&B host. He told us about the brioche with gelato inside. We had never heard of this so one evening we went to Nettuno. We ordered a brioche with chocolate and pistachio gelato. It was delicious! The concept of putting gelato into a brioche seems... More

the brioche at nettuno was something not to be missed . Glad we were in salerno during our Italy trip. It was the most delicious gelato especially the pistachio flavour we had anywhere in Italy and the brioche was a great bite. Awesome, loved it!

In front of the seaside there is this ancient ice cream maker. There are a lot of flavour, I like orange chocolate and nocciotella. cream is special and also brioches are good as homemade. There you can eat a pizza slice or potatoes croquette and it's only five minutes from railway station. If it's your first time in Salerno, you... More

The gelato at Nettuno was probably the best I've ever had. It was fresh, very creamy and totally delicious.

I dare to say is one of the best Ice creams I've ever had. The kind of ice cream we are used to in Argentina: creamy, rich, soft and colourful. (no surprise Argentine's helado comes from Italian tradition of great gelatto) Unmissable!

The place is simple take out counter and with their wide variety to choose from you have to order quick because the place is small and crowded esp during weekends😊
