If you are nearby definitely a place to visit

We stumbled upon this rustic family restaurant in a random walk through Salerno. It was crowded and loud, but interesting as it was, we got served very quickly. Our waiter was in fact the owner (a chubby guy), who gave us excellent advice on food and wine selection. Regarding the food: Pizza would... read more

Went here in January while on my honeymoon. First place we ate at when we got into Salerno. The seafood antipasto was awesome! The margherita pizza was good, but not quite as good as in Naples. The lobster spaghetti was really good too. We ate pretty early, 7:20 pm, so we were pretty much the only people in there. The... More

We were treated with the best service by the owner,on a rainy day with our baby he made extra effort to make us comfortable. Brought toys to keep the baby occupied and served the best seafood pasta we've ever had.highly recommend!

We were met at the entrance of the restaurant by the owner, who was slouched over on the front desk area, propped up by his elbow as he read the newspaper in front of him! He looked up when I asked, in Italian, for a table for two. He grunted and waved us over to an area of tables to... More

I searched for a restaurant nearby and this had high ratings and I see why. They know how to do seafood! It was one of the best, if not the best, dinners I had during my 3-week stay in Italy.

We stumbled across Pinocchio by chance and were so glad that we did. My boyfriend and I were immediately welcomed into the restaurant by the friendly owner who told us stories of his trip to London with his wife. We ordered a salad to start with and a pizza to share for main and it was good, honest, Italian food... More

We stopped by Pinocchio for lunch. We ordered a sampler appetizer which was good. Crispy onion rings, good croquettes. The pizza was ok, crispy crust how we like it. The staff was very kind and they took credit cards with no issues.

Worth a little extra effort to get there. No that far from our apt but after a full day of walking we were ready to sit down. Food was good. Service good. But view and people watching were limited. I guess we had gotten spoiled. Food really was good.

Marginal service. Fair food, however the turn off was a hair in my insalate mista. You can do better both with service and cleanliness.

My wife and I selected this place randomly as we had just arrived by train from Naples. The owner welcomed us reluctantly dressed in scruffy, dirty shorts and a sweat covered tee shirt. He was unshaven and dismissive. We SHOULD have left then! We were really hungry so we decided to stay as there were a few people eating in... More
