We had really delicious orange gelato at this spot while on a day trip to Amalfi. My husband also had an excellent cappuccino. The staff was very friendly and spoke some English. There is seating inside, but take advantage of the outside seating with a spectacular view of the beautiful Amalfi coastline. This spot also had clean, free bathrooms!

Paid €6 for a single Gelato, €4 for coffee, €3 for a small plastic bottle of still water. Their excuse was that they charged a service fee/table fee. The prices listed were much less than the prices charged although they were also expensive to start with. Had a beautiful cappuccino and cornetti a little further up the hill for €2... More

When we holiday in Sorrento, we always spend a day in Amalfi and this where we head to for lunch, everything is made fresh to order and the service is very good too. Prices are very good, especially considering the seafront location. Good cocktails too.

My wife and I had lunch here today, we previously ate here in October 2011. Lovely freshly prepared food which was quick and very tasty, the Bruschetta Amalfitana comes highly recommended, such a simple but amazingly flavoursome dish. Good gelato too and excellent and friendly service.

I had some time to kill before catching the ferry to Salerno. This is the closest restaurant to the ferry ticket office so I thought it would be a good place to have an espresso. Then I notice they had gelato. I hadn't had an off the charts gelato on my trip up until this point. I decided I would... More

If you just want a coffee, better go to another place: they charge the same service rate for coffee than for a meal. 2 coffees plus un cornetto, 9 Eur I will not come back again !!! This is not the way for taking care of the turists

We travelled length & breadth of Italy, drinking tea...but when we found Bar Flavio - we found the best Vanilla Tea in Italy...it was warm, aromatic & exotic! Also highly recommend the fresh orange & lemon juices. The host, Andrea is an awesome & unassuming...a hot spot for chillaxing, people watching or making plans!

On a recent trip to the Amalfi cost, we decided to take a day trip to Amalfi. The first place we stopped was Bar Flavio Gioia. Not only was the service fantastic, but the gelato was delicious! I tried strawberry & yogurt. I highly recommend it!

First of all, i have to start by saying i completely disagree with the negative review below about the service ie: cover charge. I am a seasoned traveler and have been going to Europe every year for the past ten years. I don't know of any place where you can sit down with a beatiful view of the water right... More
