Nice and pleasant small restaurant, driven by a very nice and pleasant elderly man. Good food and excellent classic italian caring for guests.

La Preferita is on the hill out of Amalfi, on the way to Positano, and probably picks up most of its custom from the hotels out of town, when people don't fancy the walk all the way back from Amalfi after dinner, or don't want to dine a la Santa Caterina every night. Nico is the entertainment whether he's serving... More

The older gentleman serving food was awesome. We got a nice feeling straight from the beginning and the view from the restaurant terrace to the harbor of Amalfi is magnificent. The quality of the food was also really good. The restaurant serves great value for the money.

My partner and I had a fantastic evening here with great food, house wine and seriousl wicked Limoncello to finish - fortunately we came on foot and didn't have far to go to get back to our hotel. Nicloa was a great host, very friendly, and the producer of the aforementioned Limoncello. Hint: This is a cash restaurant, very pleasant... More

When we arrived there was no music, so the "owner"? got the electronic piano set up and played for almost an hour. He was not the scheduled entertainment, but he was great!

We went there in November - and we were the only guests most of the time. The food was actually fine and the service was impeccable. The only bad thing was they only had one gas heater and when we they thought that we had finished (new guests had arrived) they removed it - and since one side of the... More

Out of the main town but great view over bay and food was excellent despite rather plain looking menu. Beware the multiple free limoncello's as you leave. Lethal.

This reataurant is located nearby the Santa Katerina hotel just above Amalfi on the coastal highway. Beautiful view - very charming host Nicola. Good menu, well priced local wine (approx 10 Euro a bottle). The food was good but not what one one expect on the Amalfi Coast. Good quantities of food - but could have been slightly more tasty.... We stopped here for food after a long day, mainly because it was near our hotel and they promote the authenticity of their local cuisine. The food was poor and bland and prepared "too quickly". The waitress was keen to take my plate and hovered so that she could snatch it away as soon as I put my cutlery ,... More

The location was ok, nice view but the food was... Euhm... Lasagna from the oven? Hmm warmed in the microwave? And the rest not really fresh... They tried too attract more people in by playing loud keyboard music, and the volume went up the further people walked away actually pretty funny!
