We went there with high expectations in July 2014 after reading the reviews. The food was only so so and the steak was tough, undercooked , and served by a blonde uninterested in service or any form of attentiveness. Save your money and go to the small restaurants on the Amalfi main drag.

m sorry you did not liked our food. fortunately for us, like the majority of travelers. I am also sorry that the confidentiality of personnel has been exchanged by her for "disinterested wait staff". You're probably not used to a restaurant elegant as my preferring the bad restaurants along the way. More

We chose this because it looked something different and it certainly was. A 15 minute taxi drive from Amalfi up into the hills to Pogerola brought us to this long elevated restaurant, with an outside terrace running the length of the dining room. There was no other diners ( this was 7:45) but we were assured that they had 20... More

Briganti translated in Italian is "thieves" and this tavern will try to reach in to your pocket. The owner nicely tries to get you to to sample appetizers, pasta, entrees, desert, wine and more food and rack up the bill. This is a southern Italian custom. BEWARE!! Prices are higher compared to other nearby Pogerola resaturants and not any better.... More

racious Lord, we never called to order. leave the menu on the tables and the customers are free to order what they want. we are the best restaurant in Pogerola and certainly can not compare us to other facilities that you visit. assessments of all visitors are in contrast with what he said. She is a very incorrect. More

Ate here with a group of friends last week, and had an amazing dining experience. The Ricotta Ravioli and Antipasto plate were incredible. Great food and awesome service made this one of the best meals we had in Italy.

From the minute you walk in, Lino greets you like family and makes you feel at home. I have never experienced hospitality like that at any other restaurant I have ever been to and I also work as a bartender in Canada so I have years of experience behind that opinion. The pasta was phenomenal and according to my girlfriend,... More

Touring around the coast to find a place for lunch, we discovered this gem that underpromises (exterior) and overdelivers (food + experience). Definitely try the antipasti with prosciutto that melts on your tongue!

We came here for a special occasion and it did not disappoint. A 15 minute taxi ride from Amalfi. Engaging, charismatic and knowledgable management, and wonderful food. Authentic interiors, delicious home made pasta, perfectly cooked steak, and lemon cake to die for. Outstanding value.

We chose this place based on Trip Advisor's recommendation and it did not disappoint. It was a September evening, so it was a big chilly, but the view from the patio was worth the goosebumps! It's a relatively quiet restaurant, off the main road so the ambiance was perfect for winding down after a long day of sightseeing. The food... More

We came to Amalfi for our honeymoon and have loved all of it. But the meal at La Taverna was the best. For meat, the Tagliata was amazing. For pasta, the Corteche with broccoli and sausage is a must. You should start with the antipasto de la casa, and end the night with a limoncello and a conversation with the... More

WE were so surprised to find this gem in Amalfi. It is up above the bustling village of Amalfi and has a beautiful view from the terrace. The owner was so warm and knowledgeable and the pizza chef was amazing. We had a delicious meal there, outside with a beautiful breeze. We toured the inside too which was adorable with... More
