Lovely food. Lovely place. Lovely owner.

We spent our second to last day heading to the taverna. It's a lovely drive up through the mountains, with beautiful views overlooking Amalfi. It's very peaceful in the area around the restaurant. I'm English. (Ok I'm a chef but nonetheless...). The food that I have just eaten wasn't some of the poorest in Italy, it was, by far, the worst food I've ever eaten in my entire life!!! A true insult to cookery. Where shall I begin? The food: Antipasti: portion WAY too big. Meats sliced WAY thick (either their slicer is... More

What a venue... We sat on the balcony, with great views. The food was first class, and the service without fault. I will definitely go again, and cannot recommend it enough... If you are in the area you must go. It is simply excellent

Very nice people working there! So, the food is nice, not Guide Michelin, Italian mama style and the really nice people taking care of you makes it worth all the effort to find the place! It is everything except the tourist places down at the water. I recommend that you go for the entrecôte, not the mixed plates, or salcicia... More

La Taverna dei Briganti served us the best meal that we had our entire 10 day trip of Italy, hands down! The restaurant is located in Pogerola, a 15-min SITA bus ride from the center of Amalfi and is TOTALLY worth the trip. To get to it, take the SITA bus from the port of Amalfi towards Pogerola and get... More

My wife and I loved loved loved this place! We had such an amazing experience here! Taking the bus from Amalfi to Briganti was easy. Once there we found the most personal and romantic setting. The views were spectacular! The food was beyond incredible! The owner cooked our steaks to perfection! The wine selection was excellent, we enjoyed 2 bottles.... More

We had our best lunch during our short stay in Amalfi at this hidden gem up in the hills. It is definitely worth the detour. Amazing pasta, antipasti, and deserts. The owner was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Really memorable lunch !

We had a wonderful family lunch on the 25th of December at the Taverna dei Briganti. We arrived very early for our reservation (1 hour before!) but were still seated and treated wonderfully. We were the only ones in the restaurant and were given a delicious antipasti and a glass of prosecco. We ordered gnocchi, fusili, and tagliata. The pasta... More

We tracked up from the marina at Almalfi by foot and it was well worth the walk. After a few days of seafood, it was pretty awesome to bite into juicy grilled meat, cooked to perfection with Arugula and rock salt. Succulent and delicious! The trek, although long, was full of beautiful sights of the marina below, lit up by... More
