Staying locally we went here for dinner. The people were very friendly! We were shown the very fresh fish of the day and were recommended one which we tried, so glad we did it was the best fish we have ever had with local wine which was about €6.50 and had pasta as a starter. I would highly recommend this... More

We are here every night which was close and easy as we stayed in Pogerola and loved our week here in this gorgeous town with amazing views and 20min bus drive down to the Amalfi beach. While in Amalfi we decided to take a cooking class. La Carcara was a great find for this venture. It's a family run restaurant with first class food and a chef who takes pride in everything he does. We met Gino and his wife Lucia, who greeted us like family. The next few hours were spent making a fantastic meal,... More

When we arrived at our hotel - Grand Excelsior, we saw an ad on the noticeboard about a local cooking class. There were numerous positive comments written on the ad, so we decided to book in. This was one of the best things we did while in Italy. Gino the chef came in his car to collect us. We arrived... More

This is my second trip to Italy and I will return here one day. I am an Aussie chef and I did a cooking lesson here. I would love to do more. Was amazing. So fresh, so good, so friendly. Beyond expectations!

We were picked up at our apartment in Conca a very pleasant surprise that they would come and get us from outside Amalfi. On arrival, we were really well looked after by Umberto and the rest of the team and the food, wine and atmosphere made for a great evening. Good value topped off by a lift back to our... More

We took a cookery class with the owners and chefs Gino and Lucia in the morning, and then got to eat the fruits of our labor with a bottle of local wine for lunch. They taught us to make scialatielli pasta with clams and mussels, sea bass with tomatoes and white wine, and lemon delight. We had a great time,... More

We had a cookery class at this restaurant while staying at the nearby Grand Hotel Excelsior. It was fabulous - Gino and Luisa were wonderful hosts and we learned to make 4 delicious Italian dishes, which we ate after for lunch. Fantastic value and a brilliant thing to do if you are staying in Amalfi or nearby.
