One of many good restaurants in Amalfi

While on a guided tour of the Amalfi coast, one of our stops was the charming town of Amalfi. Being close to lunch time, we asked our guide for a suggestion of a place to eat. Asking a tour guide for a restaurant recommendation is usually a good idea since there are literally dozens of places to... read more

great meal in a wonderful side street away from the tourist hordes, had a wonderful prawn salad and a couple of beers and relaxed in the peaceful square which is less than 100m away from the main square and the masses. well recommended

This is really a very good restaurant. We were in Amalfi for three nights and had dinner there every night. That is very unlike us but when we had one of the best meals of our 70 day trip (spaghetti with anchovies and sun dried tomatoes) we had to go back. The next night we had the best carbonara ever.... Off the main square, this restaurant has less of a tourist feel about it. The menu has a wider variety of items than several of the other restaurants we tried. The food is excellently prepared, the service friendly and efficient and the "away from the main square" location renders it quieter which allows a nicer dining experience.

Spent time choosing this meal, in terms of choice it was well worth the foot slog. Good variety of freshly cooked food, we wanted a specific dish which they accommodated us with. Good service excellent English spoken well worth finding.

Everything needed more flavour. Not bad, just forgettable. Worst mozzeralla we have had in Italy. Risotto with shrimp and lemon sauce just a bit bland.

We first ended up going here as it was late on a Monday night, not much was left open and we were tired after travelling all day. However we soon realised this was actually a lucky find. We ordered 2 starters - a local mussel soup and grilled vegetables with smoked mozzerella. Both were incredibly tasty and generous in the... More

Recommended by our Tour Manager. Situated in a quite, fume free square just off the cathedral street. We had coffees and a lovely lemon cake. Returned later in the day and had a simple delicious Spagetti pomodoro.

Stayed in Amalfi for a couple of nights and had dinners & one lunch here. Every meal was delicious, the service excellent. Don't even know what to recommend, maybe the fish raw or cooked is the best option of all. You won't be disappointed!

We all wanted different types of food this evening (including one vegetarian fed up with pizzas)! This restaurant did a great range of dishes. We had the seafood risotto, gnocchi, fresh mixed fish and a pasta dish - all really fresh and tasty! Puddings lovely, especially a ricotta and pear tart. The staff were charming and we were given complimentary... More
