Traditional Italy at its best

We regularly visit this part of Italy and manage to visit the three sisters restaurant as often as we can during our two week stay.whether eating lunch or dinner there is plenty of choice. We thought the restaurant looked like a quaint traditional Italian so we werehappy to try it. We ordered pasta to start followed by fried shrimps and squid. The pasta starter came and before we had eaten a few mouthfuls the main course was plonked on the table. So the choice was leave the starter or let the main course go... More

It's real italian restaurant, large portions for a very small prices (almost all in menu cooked for 2 persons, and costs not so much). Old ladies, who run this restaurant, gives this place a charm and makes it almost like home. Especially try their white wine with a griled fish.

Food was excellent and reasonable. We went there twice and brought friends there as well who enjoyed it. It's not a modern place but it does the trick. A must to do in Pogerola.

My husband and I stayed at the Grand Hotel Excelsior in Amalfi for a week. One day we decided to wander up the hill to the small town of Pogerola. What luck that we did!! We cam across this small little place with a sign that said Osteria Rispoli - established in 1940 something. I figured that if the restaurant... More

I have read some great reviews of this restaurant on TA, but it's hard to reconcile with our recent experience. Maybe we got off on the wrong foot when we insisted we wanted to sit inside rather than on their terrace (which does have lovely views -- but it was a very cool night for outside dining). Three or four... More

This bustling eatery is really good for their local cuisine and local wines. If you prefer a quieter lunch experience then visit during the week. Home made pasta buonadonna is fantastic as is the Genevace and Vongole. A special treat is anchovies layered with smoked mozzarella, breadcrumps and then deep fried. We love the Proscutto and melon antipasta. Well worth... More

Whenever we visit Amalfi we stay at the Excellent Hotel Excelsior and have our first real Italian Experience at Trattoria Rispoli. After an overnight journey there is nothing more relaxing than to walk from the hotel to the Village of Pogerola and meet up with our friends Marina & Enza at their Restaurant. A plate of Antipasta followed by their... More
