Local spot with friendly service. Delicious dinner of pizza, homemade pasta and fresh grilled fish. Very reasonable and delicious. It was recommended by two different residents of Amalfi so it was not touristy, just the perfect dinner after a wonderful day in town.

We were referred here by a local and we were so happy that he did! When we arrived for lunch, we were the only ones in the restaurant and had the pleasure of chatting with Andrea - what a character! He was training a new server that day and the care that he took with her was just very nice... More

This restaurant is a must when in Amalfi! Andrea the host and waiter was very welcoming and quite a character as he was singing and saying "Mama Mia" as it became busier. The food was delicious - local grilled fish, mozzarella, local lemon desert and lemoncello. Andrea even took time to chat with us even although it was very busy.... More

We were in Amalfi in September 2013 and would have never discovered this lovely restaurant had it not been for the charming gentleman/owner who greeted us as we were passing by. After chatting with him for a bit, we were convinced. My husband had the seafood pizza, which was excellent. They were not cheap on the ingredients, which were fresh... More

After a week in Italy we had the opportunity to try all sorts of pizza and pastas from Rome to Amalfi and our last meal was on La Taverna di Masaniello - we all had pasta once again we all cleared the plate. The kids ate it all and this was the first time in 7 days. The Gnochi was... More

Andrea the host is a character and very welcoming. The food is simple but very tasty. Serves are generous and value for money. Nice atmosphere too.

We have recently returned from two weeks touring the south of Italy and I can honestly say that this was one of the nicest meals we had and certainly the best pasta dish. Don't be concerned by the owner/manager tempting passers by as this does normally put me off but here he was perfectly justified! The staff were friendly, the... More

My partner and I travelled to the South of Italy for 2 weeks in October. On the last day, we decided to go to visit Amalfi. The town is very touristic and we weren't that hopeful of the prospect to find a good affordable meal but I have to say: We were totally wrong. Best pasta we ate of the... More

My husband and I traveled to Italy in October. Oh how we loved Amalfi! We wandered around looking for a restaurant--so many to choose from! We walked a few narrow streets and ended up off the main Piazza and found ourselves in a smaller piazza. We bypassed the two main restaurants and found an open door in front of which... More
