5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2013 NEW

Great little taverna/pizzeria, tucked in a corner of a square full of bigger restaurants. The owner is very friendly and attentive, great service, and food is just amazing, simple meals prepared with good quality ingredients. The locals tend to go there for a pizza (and wait outside if it's too busy), which says a lot about the place, but it's... More

Liked the look, liked the menu, sat in a sheltered corner of the outside area, my wife wanted pasta with clam, I asked for a suggestion. Scialatielli with clams and fusilli al ferretto to be remembered for a long time. Far better than anyone could hope. Good chat from the staff, a thoroughly pleasant experience. So much so that we... Looking for a simple dinner we stumbled upon this place. My partner and I shared a marinara pizza which was one of the best pizzas (and we'd had many) ever. For mains we ordered spaghetti alla bolognese and calamari fritti. The spaghetti was full of flavour and the calamari fritti was very fresh. The servings were the best we had... More

After reading many positive reviews on TA, we left the beaten track and went in search of this wonderful restaurant. On a tiny piazza, it's tucked away in a corner with a few other restaurants. We were warmly greeted with a promise of freshly made local food. Truer words were never spoken. The mussels were heavenly and the pizza was... More

We have found it very hit or miss with restaurants in Italy some are very good others are happy to serve tourists bad lasagne, pizza and spaghetti. Based on the reviews I had high expectations of this restaurant, I was disappointed. The food was OK nothing special and the service was mediocre. I would say give this restaurant a pass... More

Love, love, love the handmade pasta with clams and zucchini! The pizzas are terrific, so crisp and flavorful. Service was equally amazing as the food! Please visit La Taverna di Masaniello and taste some of the best Amalfi has to offer. Grazie Mille!

My husband and I were in Amalfi recently celebrating my 50th birthday. We stumbled across this restaurant one evening tucked away in one of the lovely court yards in Amalfi. The staff were extremely friendly, the food was fantastic, the price was perfect and the atmosphere was great! We were in Amalfi for 6 nights and after our first visit... More

The pizza was nice, as with every eating place you visit on the Almafi coast, they all have a handed down recipe from either their great great grandmother or someone like. I have to say the pizza was very nice and arrived quickly at our table, however we made the mistake of ordering a soft drink and a cup of... More

Off the beaten track and well worth a visit. Fantastic Vongole with home made pasta and a fantastic strawberry dessert. Friendly hosts and full of locals.
