Amalfi can be a tourist trap and eating there can be a recipe for production line fodder delivered by disgruntled waiters tired of being subservient to tourists wealthier than themselves whose treat them that way. Refreshing it was to discover this small family run restaurant that delivered the best pizza we have had in Italy just off the main square.... More

A friend recommended here as his best meal in Italy. His directions were, as you will find, off the main square---see other reviews here for more detail. As we looked and wondered if we had found it, the owner came to us warning of high prices and lower quality meals nearby. Food and service wee fabulous. After an appetizer, 4... More

Best meal and service we had in Italy for both seafood pasta and risotto. So good that we came back for a second time.

Andrea Dipino's little gem of a restaurant is not to be missed as you hurry to the center of via Vicolo Masaniello. We walked out of no less than 3 restaurants on the square before we were about to leave Amalfi hungry! Genuinely friendly, great service and delicious food at great prices. Make a point to find it and skip... More

If you enter Amalfi by boat the obvious route into the centre is via Vicolo Masaniello. At the top of the alley, alongside a display of huge Amalfi lemons you are likely to be accosted by a restauranteur warning you of the tourist prices in the square and of the quality of his cooking. He was truthful on both things,... More

Great atmosphere outside on a warm evening (may be equally so inside) with genuine home-made food for very reasonable prices. Staff pleasantly interactive especially the owner who is rightly proud of the quality of the food compared with a lot of pre-prepared microwaved fare provided elsewhere in Amalfi. A meal here is a very good experience.

The Owner was super friendly, spoke English and the food was fantastic! The Bruschetta appy was divine! As was the Caprese salad and the pastas we ordered!

On a corner out of a side street up from the harbour; find it to have the best pizza ever with a fresh, crisp local white wine to go with it.(Saw locals come to collect "takeout" pizzas while we ate.) Super, clean toilets/washrooms, friendly service by people who are very proud of their place. Oh to find more places like... More
