First came here for lunch and thought the food was pretty good but not exceptional. Just a standard Carbonara which is done fairly well in most parts. The staff are nice enough and the main waiters brother is the cook. We went back with partners and the food was still at the same level so at least it was consistent.... More

Came across this restaurant by coincidence. Really nice place. Owner is fun guy and makes you feel at home. I had one of the best minestrone soup ever ! Owner's brother turned out to be the cook. Definitely a must when you are around Amalfi.

This little pizzeria is just a stones throw away from the main square. Ignoring the expensive eateries walk through the square about 50 metres and take the steps on the left up to Plazza Dei Dogi and in the far left corner you will find this unprepossessing little place. The owner is a lovely friendly guy who will passionately regail... More

We arrived around 8:30 pm as we had used the day to wander around Amalfi on our last day in town. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of Piazza dei Dogi off the main street. Our waitress was very nice, not much English but we were able to get our order. We shared three different dishes and had a... More

My friend and I only got to eat here once on our last of 4 nights in Amalfi. If we'd discovered it earlier, we would have eaten here frequently. It doesn't look much from the outside, only a few tables outside and not many inside, but the food was excellent and great value. Andrea was a bundle of energy, very... More

As said so many times in previous reviews, this is an unpretentious place that has very good food, excellent service, and a family atmosphere. My greatest compliment to this restaurant is that my wife and I went twice, which we never do. All I can tell you is you can find it in Piazza dei Dogi, a little out of... More

We loved Masaniella. Andrea, the owner, warm and friendly. Food great all around. This is a casual, unpretentious, family place. We love good food that doesn't try too hard and provides something for everyone as we were a large group with diverse tastes. Excellent house white wine. Great carbonara, alla vongole and margherita pizza.

It was a busy evening when we went with visiting musicians serenading for a while but the food was delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed pizza and pasta. Being served by the chef who kept appearing in the restaurant for a chat was great too!

Tucked into a corner of the Piazza dei Dogi in Amalfi, this restaurant was a real standout of our visit. It is relatively small, with only a few tables inside and out, but that allows the owner, Andrea, to give everyone wonderful, personal service. His brother is the chef, and the food was amazing. During the course of our three... More

A really lovely family run restaurant with a great host and lovely food. There is a great atmosphere to the restaurant which comes from the host who is warm and friendly and can't do enough to help. The food is really good, the sardines were excellent as were a number of the pasta dishes. It is also extremely good value... More
