Wonderful! Best meal in Amalfi!

On my second trip to the quaint town of Amalfi this week, I took a wrong turn and ended up on a side street. So glad I did. It is usual to fine owners or employees trying to bring in business. This time the owner was standing out front. In his pitch to lure us in he said, "I'm the... read more

We found this little trattoria wandering the streets of Amalfi, the staff were friendly and helpful, the food was fresh and delicious. I couldn't recommend it highly enough. The Quite location makes a relaxing change from the hustle of the main drag, and the prices are very affordable.

You feel like you are in a family home here - friendly staff and good food with a traditional Italian feel to it. It is good value for money and we all enjoyed our meals. The house white wine was the only disappointment!

My family traveled from Atlanta, Georgia to Amalfi and were so lucky to have experienced Italy's version of "Southern Hospitality" the moment we walked into La Taverna di Masaniello. Andrea Dipino and his excellent team (including one of his brothers and sister) made us feel so welcome and created some outstanding pasta dishes that arrived at our table within minutes,... More

Decided to look for a place for dinner off the main street in Amalfi and wandered on LA Taverna Do Masanielli. The bruscetta and marineted anchovies started off the meal. Second course was the fish of the day, sea bream, and spaghetti carbonara. The carbonara was light and delicious . The sea beam was cooked perfectly and very tasty. Would... More

Pros: - Excellent, tasty pasta and sea food - Great staff and owner Cons: - Small place, not a lot of tables - Uncomfortable chairs (for what it's worth) We passed in front of this restaurant for the past 5 days as it is right next to the stairs to our apartment so we decided to go on our last... We visited this hidden away restaurant one rainy night in Amalfi. All of the other restaurants were pretty empty but this one was almost full, with many locals joining tourists for a great evening meal. The staff and owner were helpful and friendly and spoke some English and the food was excellent, with generous portions. Very good choice on the... More

In mid-May 2015, my wife and I visited Amalfi. As we were exploring the busy business district, we came upon this fine restaurant. We were greeted outside and told how great the fish and other meals are. He was certainly right! My wife had the fish - sea bass I believe, and I had Bolognese. My wife reported her fish... More
