Quality food with views

We got the Sita bus up from Amalfi to Pogerola after reading reviews on Tripadvisor. The restaurant has superb views- but unfortunately it was dark when we went. La Capannina is beautifully set out with tables well spaced and tablecloths and well turned out waiters. None of this is any use if... read more

I read the reviews about this restaurant and telephoned. Dominco, the owner, came to collect us from our hotel. The meal was superb. We shared a starter of fusilli with clams and courgettes. The main meal was sea bream cooked to perfection. Everything was very fresh and served with such pride and friendliness. A great deal of thought had gone... More

this could be a secret to unveil. Take the car or taxi from any hotel in and around Amalfi and drive up there to this ancient village in the mountain and have Lunch or dinner. Domenico and Angela, the owners will take good care of you. Vegetables and herbs grow right outside the restaurant windows and Domenico goes daily to... More

We had an amazing dinner there during our stay in August. Fresh delicious food and excellent service. The restaurant even picked us up from our hotel for free. Prices are around half of what you pay down at the marina. I can only advice everybody to stay clear of the tourist restaurants at the marina and go up the mountains... More

the restaurant sent a driver to pick us up as we were staying in Amalfi and it was about a 10 minute drive up the hills. The restaurant is very local, so don't expect anything fancy or fine dining, but do expect local cuisine done to perfection. No tourist trap here, all home cooked amazing food. we had the veal... We are staying in the village and there are four places to eat. I didn't read any reviews but have now eaten here twice. The food is exceptional, I had the risotto and was going to have it again the second time but decided to have pasta with lobster sauce, it was just as good if not better. The lemon... More

Our meal here was unforgettable. We spent a lovely, relaxing afternoon taking in the scenery, eating the freshest, most authentic Italian food, cooked by Mimo's family. Mimo went out of his way to make us feel at home and welcome and we're so glad we made the trip to Pogerola by bus from the main square in Amalfi - which... More

This restaurant had a most beautiful panoramic view of the mountains and the lemon yards! Priceless view! The pasta and rice dishes are of course very fresh and home made! The seafood is even more fresh! You can choose your choice of the fish of the day which varies in prices from 20£ -£30 and can be shared by two... More

We had such an amazing quiet lunch at this restaurant. Our guide from Rome in Limo took us here, and what a hidden gem it was! The owner Mimo helped us make our choices and made some great selections for us. The view was incredible. We were the only ones there the day we went and just felt like royalty.... More
