Good food, reasonable prices

We decided to go to this restaurant as it looked popular most nights we walked past it. The staff were friendly with efficient service and the food was fairly good. On the hectic tourist-filled streets and walkways of Amalfi, the calm and quiet atmosphere of this restaurant caught my eye for lunch. The pizza and the caprese salad were just right. And the staff was friendly and welcoming.

We enjoyed two meals at La Galea. By far the best fish we had in Amalfi, gnocchi delicious and tiramisu to die for. We have been in Amalfi for a week and best food and very good value for money. They remembered us on second visit which was nice.

This is very simple Italian cooking. Plentiful, colorful and at a very reasonable price for Amalfi. Two starters, different Bruschettas, a large Pizza and a large pasta, half a carafe of house white whine and a bottle of mineral water including service was just under £30.00!! Excellent non intrusive service.

Quiet when we arrived at 12.30, but full when we left an hour later. Staff were welcoming and service was friendly and efficient. We all enjoyed our meals - bruschetta, spaghetti carbonara, spaghetti bolognese, spaghetti vongole and pizza. They were all hot and freshly cooked. The prices were reasonable, too.

We stopped here on whim because it looked popular and appealing. The food was adequate. I was a little disappointed that in this season of mushrooms, what was in my dish were canned mushrooms. Accompanying bread was not very flavorful. However my salad was full of fresh tomatoes and quite abundant. My husband's pizza was very good with a tasty... More

I ate here twice whilst staying in Amalfi. They have a reasonably priced tourist menu with a variety of dishes to choose from for each course. Service was quick and the quality was good.

Had the spaghetti with oil, clams and tomatoes...EXCELLENT! Others had the stuffed ravioli...also EXCELLENT! Portions were larger then a lot of other places. The broccoli with garlic incredible as well. Service was good.

Went in this restaurant quite late one evening and even thought they were about to close, they happily stayed open to serve us good and drink. Good food and wine and lots if choices on the menu.

This place was quiet, but the service was friendly and the food was good. I would most definitely come here again. It has a great family feel and is decorated nicely.
