Central location, good pizza, but poor service

This pizzeria located left from famous S.Andrea Cathedral staircase. This place was recommended by our hotel staff. We tried to order fish, but part of dishes from menu wasn't available, part of dishes with unfamiliar kinds of fish. As a result we ordered salad and pizza with prosciutto. Pizza was... read more

Combining great food and excellent location this is definitely a must. Amalfi and Italy at their best. Watch La Dolci Vita stroll by as you enjoy amazing local delicacies and great service. Be sure to try their fresh catch of the day straight of the local fishermen's boat!

As an enthusiastic supporter of trip advisor, thus restaurant was not on our list since its reviews didn't show that it's one of the best to eat at. So we had planned to go to another restaurant close by but since no tables where available there we ended-up at S. ANDREA. What luck we did. The meal was excellent. We... More

We went there twice because food was very traditional and tasty. We had only typical italian food. Very, very good. However, the service was poor. We had to ask twice for the drinks, desserts and coffee. They were kind but disorganized.

We visited here on a day trip to Amalfi. The waiter took our order of 2 beers and 2 pizzas and couldn't have been less interested if he'd tried. The food arrived promptly enough and was ok. Nothing special. The problem came when I wanted to get up to use the loo. The chairs and tables are so close together... More

I seriously regretted choosing this place. It looked busy and we thought that was a good sign, plus it had lasagne - one of my favourite dishes - on the menu. We waited ages to give our order; the staff were disorganised and rushing about but not achieving much. We ordered two gin and tonics that took about 10 minutes... More

When we arrived, we only went in for a beer, but you could see the chefs in the kitchen from the restaurant and we saw them cooking fresh octopus. Everything was made fresh so we decided to eat there aswell. We had the local buffalo mozzarella and tomato starter to share because it was so large. It comes with local... More

We were invited by one of the daughters to go there as we stayed at their hotel Albergo Sant' Andrea across the square. I had 5 pieces of scalopinni. Huge serve. Pizzas were great too plus 10% discount. Highly recomended.

We stopped in for a quick lunch mostly due to the location right on the square. The service was quick and the pizza was excellent as was the local beer and Tiramisu! The staff was patient with our group as we tried to figure out our Euros! We would definitely eat there again!

We ate lunch there is October, could not be better location as right under the sun and down the steps of the Duomo. So we expected a very touristic menu and average food. This is the best food we had on the Amalfi coast during 6 days! The panna cotta was really good so was the Tiramisu, this is to... More
