Out of the way, but worth it.

We stopped here twice: once after a hike to Pontone, the other time to visit the paper museum on a rainy day. Service was excellent as was the food.

This unpretentious restaurant at the top of the main drag is past the crush of downtown. Their meals are accompanied by delightfully chewy, nutty focaccia. Their pizza is also on the same delightful chewy dough. I had the most beautiful fresh salad here of anywhere outside my own garden and home - their insulate mista. And their carne pizzaiola had... Great little family run restaurant just past the main square in Amalfi. Prices, portions, and service are excellent. The homemade pasta is delicious and the mussels are outstanding! We will be going back again as the food is very high quality and very affordable. A true Amalfi gem!

We decided to have lunch at Il Mulino after taking the brilliant Lemon Tour and it just made what had been a brilliant morning even better. A lovely authentic Amalfi restaurant, with some of the most delicious home made pasta we've had. The homemade pasta with Aubergines and Mozzarella is just the best and the one we most crave for... We wanted to flee the Amalfi downtown just to avoid the expected tourist trap there. So we walked away to seek a more authentic pizzería. Finally we found a place 500 m away. Not specially cozy, but friendly staff. Two pizzas and one calzones to share, plus mozarella with ham and steamed mussels as starters. The food was not to... More

We stopped in Amalfi the other day while driving along the coast. In an effort to escape the hoards we wandered up to the Paper Museum and found this gem of a restaurant. Simple food but done really well with super friendly service. Probably the best meal we had on the coast, and also the best value. I highly recommend... More

About 15 minutes up the hill from the tourist area, it is well worth the walk. After all the hustle and bustle and tourist menus etc, this is a genuine, home cooked, Italian restaurant. Simple, very well cooked, delicious food. Great friendly service. Good value. And the walk will do you good.

A welcome change from the usual tourist traps. Food is good and simple and the staff cares that you are happy with your meal. Literally at a stone throw from Museo Della Carta, which is also simple and unpretentious but definitely worth a visit

If you don't care too much about eating in a nicely decorated restaurant with candles on the table this is the perfect place. The food was absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the pasta with clams, lemon and rucolla. We also had a lovely hors d'oeuvre as a starter.
