We stayed in Amalfi for four nights in July; the first night we got into town we were tired and hungry, unwilling to put much effort into finding a nice, reasonably priced place to eat; as such we got suckered into one of the tourist trap restaurants right in town that had okay food for a very steep price. The... More

Keep walking up the hill away from the shops and you will eventually get to Il Mulino. I have eaten here several times and have never been disappointed. The food is good wholesome homemade and plentiful. The family always make you feel welcome and are attentive. Prices are more than reasonable and you won't be disappointed.

We had dinner at this restaurant just outside of the center of Amalfi. it's nothing fancy, but the home made pasta was very good.

We only went here after looking at the TA reviews. The place was shabby and unattractive and the food was awful. We live in Italy and this wasn't authentic Italian food as it was so bad. It wasn't cheap and to top it all the night we were there there was a blazing row going on between one of the... More

We ate dinner at this place on our first day at Amalfi. It is a bit further out of the center of Amalfi, but it is worth it: it feels a bit less touristic (but of course probably all the guests are tourists) than other restaurants in Amalfi, and prices drop sharply the further you go out of the center... Had lunch here before going to the paper mill museum. Very nice restaurant. A pleasant, shady place on a hot day. The food was extremely good as was the service.

Simple dining atmosphere, courteous welcome and polite service. Ordered veal with olive oil and lemon juice, seafood risotto, pasta with tomato, cheese and aubergine. Sensational flavour, generous portion filled with ingredients and is exceptionally delicious. Price is definitely cheaper than the restaurant in town centre.

Home-style restaurant. Excellent food. Varied menu. Simple Italian restaurant without any unnecessary mannerisms, but the food is cooked and served with all the heart. Large dishes full of wonderful aromas and flavors. We enjoyed every minute. The restaurant is located up the main street of the bustling center of Amalfi (Need to go up until you reach the museum) but... More

We went here based on Lonely Planet and TA, boy we were pleasantly surprised with the food and we returned two more times. All the dishes are simply wholesome Italian cooking with pure and good ingredients as it is supposed to be. The house wine is good too, for some reason ordering per ¼ is the cheapest so keep this... I went to the Mulino for lunch on our visit to Amalfi. We were on a family trip (we were a group of 15 people) and although we arrived late they treated us very well ( the lady is very nice and gives you good recommendations) the food was delicious, and the price was also very good. I totally recommend... More
