We were recommended this restaurant as a nice family run business away from Amalfi's tourist crowds. The evening started out well with a good pizza, but then turned sour as a result of a huge heated argument between staff members inside the restaurant. With plates broken and screaming staff which went on for over 10 minutes. They didn't care customers... More

If you're in Amalfi and want authentic, affordable Pizza & Pasta with a friendly, family atmosphere then please take the time to visit Il Mulino. There are no shortage of restaurants in Magical Amalfi, however if you're prepared to walk up the hill away from the main tourist circuit you will reach this real gem. It's around a 15 minute... We found this place while were exploring Amalfi -- and were very happy with the food and the experience. Sitting in the square in Amalfi and paying 7 euros for a Campari soda is fine -- because you're sitting in the square in Amalfi! But if you want a nice meal at a good price without the hustle and bustle... More

Following the recommendation from a well-known travel guide, we found this small restaurant which is out of the main tourist circuit (opposite the Paper Museum). From the outside, it does not appear to be anything very special and the view from the terrace is completely underwhelming. However, the food was good (one of the best pizzas we had during our... The mixed seafood grill here is prepared from fresh product and is very tasty. The Villa Mathilde fiano at 20 euros a bottle was an ideal accompaniment. Service was fine and the well chilled complimentary limoncello at the conclusion of the meal was the best we struck in two weeks in Italy. The young waiter told us it was fatta... More

We had a very pleasant lunch here. My daughter had lemon spaghetti which is a specialty in Amalfi and I had spaghetti carbonara and both were very good! The service was good too. If we have a chance to come back to Amalfi, we would surely like to come back to this restaurant.

We ate here on our first night in Amalfi as it was near our accommodation and had been recommended by our taxi driver. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the main street of Amalfi which can be an advantage. The meal was cheaper than a lot of other restaurants but we had better similarly priced meals down... We visited Ristorante Pizzeria II Mulino as it was just up the road from our apartment. The food was delicious and the service excellent. It's a modest restaurant, with fair prices and tasty meals. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant!

We were staying only a couple of minutes away from this restaurant so it seemed an obvious choice for our first night in Amalfi. The outdoor tables were in an awning off the main restaurant - it was cool and had been raining but with a patio heater on it was OK to sit outside. The waiter spoke good English... More

My family isn't fussed by overly fancy food, so the very top listed restaurants in Amalfi would have been wasted on us. But I liked the sound of Il Mulino so took the 15 minute walk up from the main square and was glad I did. The street itself is a pleasant change with the steep faces of the gorge... More
