Don't know why the deluge of tourist stay in the centre of the village... 10 min. walk and we are alone strolling the streets. We stopped there and it was a good choice. Saw a lot of locals picking up their pizza at this restaurant. We were the only tourists in the outside terrace.

We ate here twice during our stay in Amalfi and it's AMAZING! It's half the price of the tourist traps in the middle of the town and the food is ten times better! I'd highly recommend getting the spaghetti puttanesca and the grilled squid but the pizzas and other pastas are equally as good. The food is fresh and made... More

don't go anywhere else in Amalfi All the other places we went to were tourist traps. Here we really got the perfect doods, whether it was pizza, pasta or Seafood, eveything tasten great. Also the service was astonishing good, which is rare in Italy.

Il Mulino is located almost at the top edge of Amalfi, away from the beach and town center, near the hills and where the trail starts to the Valle de Ferriere walk. It is probably the last restaurant in town, and most people may not walk that far up, as there are few other shops and restaurants in this part... More

We stopped here twice: once after a hike to Pontone, the other time to visit the paper museum on a rainy day. Service was excellent as was the food.

This unpretentious restaurant at the top of the main drag is past the crush of downtown. Their meals are accompanied by delightfully chewy, nutty focaccia. Their pizza is also on the same delightful chewy dough. I had the most beautiful fresh salad here of anywhere outside my own garden and home - their insulate mista. And their carne pizzaiola had... Great little family run restaurant just past the main square in Amalfi. Prices, portions, and service are excellent. The homemade pasta is delicious and the mussels are outstanding! We will be going back again as the food is very high quality and very affordable. A true Amalfi gem!

We decided to have lunch at Il Mulino after taking the brilliant Lemon Tour and it just made what had been a brilliant morning even better. A lovely authentic Amalfi restaurant, with some of the most delicious home made pasta we've had. The homemade pasta with Aubergines and Mozzarella is just the best and the one we most crave for... We wanted to flee the Amalfi downtown just to avoid the expected tourist trap there. So we walked away to seek a more authentic pizzería. Finally we found a place 500 m away. Not specially cozy, but friendly staff. Two pizzas and one calzones to share, plus mozarella with ham and steamed mussels as starters. The food was not to... More
