I ate at Il Tari when I stayed in Amalfi two years ago and had a fabulous meal, because of this we returned on our trip this year but unfortunately it let me down. The service was extremely slow and the waiters were abrupt. Our starters were really nice and the wine we chose was good, however I ordered Carbonara... More

I went for lunch and I had a perfect unaspected turistic menu: First course + second course + salad + sweet = 20 €! I had perfect gnocchi and My husband a Great spaghetti with mussles; orata fish and checken scallop. The sweet was perfect! After 10 day in Amalfi coast, I Wondered coz the portions were very Big! We went here for the first meal of our Italian holiday. We had 6 people in our party and wanted to try as many items as possible. At the fourth order of a different pasta, the server became very rude. He pretty much told the last person that she would have to pick one of the previously ordered items. The... More

Having had dinner at this place once, we returned the next day to celebrate there the birthday of one of us. Tasty good quality food, good unobtrusive service, reasonable prices. Especially liked Zuppa di cozze.

We passed by the restaurant and decided to get in for lunch. Service was fast and the food we ordered was tasty and good. The price is right and satisfied our lunch plans.

With so many restaurants in Almafi, I would not recommend this one. The food was good, atmosphere just OK and the servers weren't very friendly. There are just too many other great restaurants in Amalfi that I would prefer over this one. We tend to try new restaurants to find the other 5 star ones but will always visit our... More

My husband and I were in Amalfi for a few hours as part of a boat tour. Walking around town we decided we wanted to have something small for lunch. We stopped in at Il Tari for a pizza and beer. When we arrived three quarters of the tables were empty, with no guests. We sat down and a server... More

Having seen people queue for this restaurant we decided to give it a try and were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. Although we seemed to wait for a while for the staff to take our order, they soon got to work and from then on the food came in a comfortable stream. Along with the a... More

This was a great restaurant in Amalfi, Italy. We were referred there by our guide who eventually joined us for our meal. After letting our waiter provide suggestions we had several different entrees starting with an antipasta plate. Everything was fantastic ... including the wine pairings suggested to us! I'll go back again next time I'm in Amalfi.
