Delicious food and staff with great character. A relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere, food really tasty and well presented and our needs anticipated. Very good value for money at €25 per head including half a bottle of delicious local wine.

Amalfi is a tourist town, but if you are willing to walk just 100 yards uphill from the seaside spectacle, you will find Ristorante Il Tari - a smallish gem with no views, but attentive service, delicious food, a rather large menu with many seafood choices and "Campania" recipes....all at reasonable prices. GF had Rocket Salad and then Cannelone with... More

Wouldn't know if it was good or not. We arrived just after they opened and were seated right away. After waiting 10minutes reviewing the menu 'which looked phenomenal' we realized the owner was eating dinner and was to busy to take our order. I would have been happy with vino at this point but was passed caring about eating there.... More

Really very good food in a slightly more sophisticated setting. The waiter actually recommended a cheaper bottle of wine than my first choice. The pear and ricotta desert was heaven. We visited with young children and we probably felt this restaurant was more appropriate for adults couples and groups or parties with teenage children. No TV which was excellent and... More

We happened to eat here on an unusually busy December evening (the night before the Sorrento-to-Amalfi marathon) but the service was quite good. I got fish with a sort of heavy lemon sauce and Constant Companion got a pizza if I recall correctly. Both dishes were good but not outrageously good.

We had passed by this restaurant a few times but hadn't gone in. We asked at our hotel where they liked to eat and this restaurant was recommended. We were not disappointed. It was the best meal we had in Amalfi. The service was good, the food and wine were delicious.

This was our first trip to Amalfi and we took a chance with this restaurant and it really was very good. During the dinner a roaming singing group and entertained us all with their fine singing. It was a memorable evening.

An excellent restaurant - well appointed, efficient service and great food. We had a very tasty and imaginative mixed seafood antipasti, mains of baked bluefin with eggplant cheese and tomato, and charcoal grilled squid, and a ricotta and pear cake - excellent. All very well done with thought and skill. A very nice suggestion for a small bottle of wine,... More
