My girl and I had the good fortune to dine here last week while staying in Amalfi. We had a nice table on the patio. We opted for the multi course meal and we were not disappointed. Each course was terrific and the staff was very helpful in directing us to an outstanding wine selection. If fortune smiles on me... More

The seafood here was spectacularly good. The special was a platter of raw seafood, including prawns, scampi, tuna, white fish and anchovies. It was all deliciously delicate and fresh. First time I have ever had anchovies served naturally in water without salting - totally different to the taste from preserved anchovies in shops. The half bottles of local white wine... More

Da Gemma is an excellent find in a very touristy town which has sadly been somewhat spoiled by tacky shops and bus loads of tourists. The restaurant was recommended to us by a taxi driver and we went there twice in a four day stay. The fresh fish is excellent and the menu is inventive. The service is superb and... More

Great food and service. Had a 4-course meal at a price that was not over-the-top, but the quality remained very high end. Loved it!

My husband and I walked in off the street for dinner. The wait staff were all very attentive. The food was delicious...from the bread to the after dessert snacks (biscuits) and drinks. They gave us a little complimentary taster of an entree, then another of a dessert and then again after I ordered and ate dessert they came out with... More

A friend from Amalfi recommended Da Gemma. That is a real friend. We had the Caprese salad which came in 3 parts. The traditional tomato, basil and mozzarella of course but the other two versions were a surprise. One in a short glass was a mousse version and the other was a fried tomato version. Delightful and delicious. Sitting above... More

My brother and I just ate here last night after multiple local recommendations. The attention from the staff, humility of the Chef and then of course, the art of the food...impeccable. We had a local specialty, paccheri, filled with spinach and cheese, with a seafood sauce that enhanced the pasta with a nice note. Also an antipasti which included melt-in-your... More

what a great place, the food was really very good, not cheap but certainly not overly pricey. The seafood soup was outstanding and the whole experience for my wife and I was really very good. Would certainly recommend, make sure you are hungry before you go, the servings are very generous.

We passed through 3 levels of staff before we were finally offered one of two tables in a nearly empty restaurant. Dinner was OK but staff were overbearing. Overpriced compared to other good restaurants in Amalfi.

With a slight drizzle happening we noticed the covered second floor balcony dining just off the duomo square and we won. Beautiful setting, fabulous staff, and each item we were served exceeded our expectations. This is what fine dining in Italy should taste and feel like. Treat yourself and you too will be writing a review
