This restaurant dates from the late 19th century. It is overlooking a touristy street just off the main plaza. The pasta dishes were excellent, and the service very good. On a slightly pricey side, but worth it.

Da Gemma is a must when in Amalfi. Not a lot to say really. World class fresh seafood and local dishes. Staff very friendly and we were made very, very welcome on our repeat visit from last year. Reserve a table in advance and perhaps prepare to spend a little extra but its worth it ! Mr & Mrs Stonehaven... More

Great service, excellent food. They have outdoor terrace setting, very cool experience. Best beef I've had in Italy thus far. Amazing goat cheese ravioli

Amalfi threw us for a loop coming from Capri. It's not the same. Came across da Gemma. They had one table left and we took it because everywhere else was sandwiches or fried fish. The meal was truly spectacular. Starts off with a tasty croquette. We order caprese three ways, the gaspachio is the best. Then the big guns came... More

I had dinner here with my wife, the setting is very nice, upstairs looking down on the walkway from the piazza. The staff were friendly and helpful and we were not rushed at all. The ravioli to starts was amazing, I then had crusted beef but that was dry, and soggy, it was ok but not special and my wife... More

We found this lovely restaurant just above the square in Amalfi after a rather damp morning and we could not have been more pleased. The staff were very attentive assisting us with the menu and making helpful suggestions; the result was we had a fabulous meal with delicious local wines and haven't stopped talking about it since. Every mouthful was... More

In a week in Amalfi we came here twice, the first time we dropped in when we were passing. They were very full but they made every effort to fit us in. The second time we booked, which is usually essential. Both times the service was warm, friendly and helpful. Both times we ate only one course, but they were... More

We have had many nice meals at Da Gemma over the past 18 years of visiting Amalfi, but this year was a big disappointment. We had fettuccini and clams which had a nice flavor but was hard to enjoy because the several of the shells were broken with bits and pieces scattered throughout the pasta. It is not fun to... More
