A lot of people recommended us this restaurant but: - food was ok/good but far from what we were told (took different pastas and appetizers) - service was really mediocre with no efforts made at all Should have gone to Eolo instead...

Very good food! Wonderful fish and pasta dishes. The service is great. The restaurant is located in the centre of the town and is very easy to find.

Had to ask 4 times for water to be poured from my 7$ bottle of sparking wine. My champagne glass from The cocktail is still on the table from an hour ago and the food is frankly overpriced and average at best. So far I'm down $125. So tourists, Beware.

We ate here based on local's recommendation. I agree with others' comments about staff being arrogant and unfriendly. They seemed to rush us into ordering. I had pasta Nonna which was so al dente, it was difficult to chew and waiter made no offer to change when barely any was eaten. In fact, no one came to check on us... More

Wonderful fish and pasta dishes. The service was very attentive and the view of the town below was beautiful. Prices were very reasonable and the Wilde list suburb. You must make reservations in the summer months.

Food and location are perfect, but service not as much. Romantic atmosphere. Try the pasta della Nonna

My 28-year old son and I recently went on holiday in Amalfi. Da Gemma was easily our favorite restaurant. We tried it after a recommendation from some local friends and we couldn't have been happier. We enjoyed it so much we dined there three out of the four days we were in Amalfi. Each meal was exceptional. Among our favorite... More

The food, the service, the wine, all excellent. Family owned since the 1870s, they have some original recipes dating back to the 1870s along with newer editions. Try the pasta Da Gemma della Nonna, which is a home made pasta with a meat ragu using a recipe from the family's origins with this restaurant. I was there once for lunch... More

The staff were rather formal, and didn't smile whilst serving or greeting us. But, the food was wonderful, and the wine was equally good. As the restaurant was busy, our service was a little slow, but we were very happy sat on the terrace, enjoying our wine and the atmosphere. We were in no rush to get through dinner. Every... More
